The 360 version is horrendous! They were supposed to issue a patch to fix some of the problems but for whatever reason 360 owners got screwed. It's pretty much unplayable.

As far as decks go, there isn't too big of a difference these days besides what company you buy from. Blank decks are the way to go. Just get a size you're comfy with.
Trucks, you can never go wrong with good ol' Indy's.
Griptape... doesn't matter
Wheels, again a thing of preference, For street wheels, companies seem to be similar, so just pick a set that you like.

Does anyone know if the Ghostbusters game is being made by the same team that did Alone In The Dark? I promised myself I would never buy a game by that team again after trying to play that steaming pile of shit.  And I'm really excited about the idea of a good Ghostbusters game but I just don't want to add another broken unplayable game to my collection. Has anyone else played AITD for the 360?

Let me know what you think when you track it down. I'm sure you can find it on ebay on the cheap cheap.

Oh boy the cast of the View is good.... but we have a celebrity here in Canada named Ben Mulroney (he's the host of Canadian Idol, so just imagine if Ryan Seacrest was even a bigger douchebag) Man, I would love to smash his stupid face in!

I loved Pitfall for the Atari (which all my friends owned) We owned a really weird console called "Leisure Vision" that my Mother picked up (to my horror). So that was our main console for quite a while. It had shitty games like "Jump Bug" and "Space Vultures". It  had a controller like a Colecovision. Eventually we got an NES, so Castlevania was a staple in our house...... did anyone play a really shit game called "Athena" on that system? My brother got it for his birthday one year and that was all we had to play until the next gift giving holiday.... xmas....my brothers birthday was in February... sigh.

Sorry, I'm pretty new to this and don't know the proper GB etiquette. My bad.

I've always been a huge horror/ sci-fi nerd. I don't know what it is about the genre that appeals to me but I've always been fascinated by the weird and macabre. I think a steady diet of Jim Henson's "The Muppets"  & "The Dark Crystal", comic books and Hanna Barbera cartoons contributed to my love of all things strange. I was a huge video game fan as well but it wasn't until Capcoms Resident Evil on the PSone came out that I was completely hooked! But back then I was pretty picky about what games I played. Seeing as I had a small budget to buy games with, I had to make sure it was something I would really love. And being the horror fan that I am, I seemed to stick with that genre. But the pickings were slim at best so some of the games I bought could be a bit of a chore to get through (Nightmare Creatures). But there were some games that really stuck out and were a blast to play but for whatever reason, never got the attention it should have. Now that I'm a little older and have a little bit more disposable income (the operative word being "little") it would be interesting to go back and play some of these games to see how they stood the test of time.

Some of the games I'm going to go back to include:

Galerians -PSone
The Evil Dead -PSone
Resident Evil -PSone
Dino Crisis -PSone
Parasite Eve 1 &2 -PSone
Silent HIll -PSone
Alone In The Dark -PSone
Carrier - Dreamcast

There are also a handful of classic and not so classic Survival Horror titles that I never had a chance to play the first time through. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for
Half Life 1
The Thing
Run Like Hell
Kuon
Siren
Eternal Darkness

If anyone else is interested, it could be fun to play through some of these games at the same time and discuss what are impressions are. I'm going to start with Galerians, so if you want to join me, drop me a line.

I remember hearing about the movie but never tracked it down. I thought they used a bunch of the cut-scenes from the game in the actual film. Am I right? I'd be interested in playing through it again with some other people a la "Game club" (on Rebel FM) to see other peoples thoughts. Any takers?
