The method you lost Tali was bullshit and honestly as she's a squad member in 3 its going to detract from the gameplay so bring her back. On paper sure you could say that Samara isn't a team leader but they literally say hey that's a great choice and she has tons of experience which they claim is important in the choice. This isn't like Wrex dying in 1 where he's not even going to be in the squad in the next game. I'd rather you just have a more complete game in 3 rather than adhering to bad game design.
The sad thing is likely the staff won't take any of the criticism about the dull GOTY effort this year because they've made it clear that they view negativity as toxicity as opposed to it being paying customers rightfully stating the product they've put out was lackluster and has slowly been trending that way. I don't think I've ever seen GB fans more against something giant bomb has done and I hope they take the feedback on board.
Going in, all I remember of the island is it has those really shitty regenerating zombies you need to shoot them in very specific spots. I would not be entirely surprised if they got removed in re releases.

They were super easy to kill, they were slow as fuck and you just stood 10 feet back and sniped them with the thermal scope
I wish they'd give Abby more tips, like not using the shotgun when they're far away cause it does nothing but waste ammo, but I think they're scared she'll snap at them, she can be pretty bad at taking friendly suggestions.
