Having to hunt those little bugs looks frustrating, and really doesn't feel like it has any place in this type of game.
I agree that it looks frustrating and I think it probably shouldn't have any place in this type of game, necessarily. But it is a mechanic that was in Theme Hospital, for better or worse (rats would show up and you had to click on them). So it's not without precedent.
It was 110% optional in Theme Hospital and was just a fun little hidden easter egg that you could shoot the rats. I imagine it's the same here.
My best world award goes to the world where this category is called "best setting," and the clarity of the name that was chosen made this video a lively discussion rather than a confusing debate over semantics that no one has a clear picture of. Sadly, that world is only a fantasy.
The entire time I was watching I just felt like they should change the word to 'setting'. Because they're talking about gameplay in a category that's trying to talk about world building. That was even possibly the original title of the category!
I'm amazed that after running every mission, multiple elusive targets, having new tutorial prompts, and giving this game their Game Of the Year award, they still have no idea what the white dots, orange silhouettes, and the word "compromised" mean in this game. Surely you would pick some of this up through osmosis...
