I can't really find direct parallels for BOTW 2 or Mario Golf. BOTW 2 is an huge open world game so yes I know that an indie studio cannot do that. But graphically we have things like "Kena" and I really like the look of "Sable"

Kena Bridge of Spirits:

Maybe this thread is about just giving indies some love lol

Insomniac makes games that I personally do not like but I think they are very polished and graphically impressive.

If you told me that the Nintendo Showcase was an Indie Showcase, I would have believed you(I am not saying this is a bad thing). I was watching the e3 indie showcase earlier, and graphically they are on par or better looking than what Nintendo is putting out these days and those games cost considerably less(people will buy what they want to buy). I am sure that Advanced Wars 1+2, Metroid Dread will have a great amount of depth and content, but this is just a feeling I had watching the show. I know that Nintendo has not really cared about keeping up with the graphical fidelity of current gen consoles since the gamecube, I just think it is funny that indies have caught up to Nintendo first party games in this area. Do you guys have any thoughts on this

Hi guys!

I was just reminiscing about what games I picked up along side purchasing new hardware. It was such a magical feeling when I booted up a new console with a shiny new "next gen" game. On a side note, I feel like I kind of lost that in the two latest generations. I think the graphical/gameplay leaps have been on a diminishing returns since the 360/ps3 days.

Anyways, here is my list:

1. Star fox 64 - N64 - completely blew me away when I was a child. I played the demo for the first time in a blockbuster and I wouldn't leave the station.

2. Rogue Leader - Gamecube - Again, the graphics were such a great leap and I felt like I was Luke Skywalker saving the galaxy. So that was pretty great.

3. Halo - Xbox - So much fun playing multiplayer with my friends. Also, the first person shooter that I really got into.

4. Gears of War - Xbox 360 - I had just gotten back from college and I had heard about this game. When I booted it up for the first time, the cover system completely changed how I thought about games. The animations were so realistic and I loved every second. I think that this was one of those times that I could vividly remember being really immersed in the world.

5. MGS4 - PS3 - It was cool... man, those cutscenes were long...

6. Forza Horizon 2 - Xbox one - probably my favorite horizon game

Fromsoft games, remnant fron ashes. Mostly souls like games. I am too lazy to "get good" or have the time.

Why do all the good things have to end? It doesn't feel real. It almost feels like losing family members :(.

I want an open world gears of war game, where you get to customize your character and ride a sweet gears bike with turrets on it around a post apocolyptic city.

Halo odst 2

I want perfect dark to be a mix of assassins creed and watchdogs in a futuristic city environment.
