burnout died after 3

Revenge was still fun. It wasn't nearly as good, sure, but I still had great fun on it. Burnout 3 though... Why can't we have that remastered?

I've always been a little bit baffled at the reception to this game, given how much of a chore it usually was to play outside of short brief bursts. The UI and lengthy amounts of time it took to re-enter races were particularly bad even for its day. That said, I'm glad it's making a bit of a reappearance, as the world definitely needs more Burnout, and I'm glad fans of this one get what is apparently a solid update.

Exactly. I bought this game for $5, the ultimate box or whatever, and was completely annoyed by it. Restarting a race should have been instant. I looked in the menu forever and so no way other manually driving back to the starting point. On top of that the DLC I paid for was impossible to get to without download a hex editor... The hell is that about?

Burnout 3 Takedown is still, and will likely always be, the best Burnout and one of the greatest auto-racing games of all time. Give me a remaster of that and I'll pay a full $60.

Jeff: "The last Call of Duty's from each of their developers have been kind of a bummer."

Reality: Call of Duty Black Ops 3, aside from the boots on the ground, never-jumpers crowd, is beloved and has the the strongest and longest lasting player retention of any game in the series to date. For Call of Duty, Black Ops 3 is the Nintendo Wii sales of Call of Duty but if the sales had remained near their peak for the entire lifespan of the 360.

I know Jeff prefers the stilted, herky-jerky motion of Advanced Warfare compared to the smooth fluidity of BO3, but c'mon. BO3 has made more money for the Call of Duty franchise than any other to date, and it's not because of sales, it's because of loot boxes and people keep buying loot boxes because people can't stop playing this Call of Duty over all the other options. And by May or June of this year, it will again be the biggest active player population in the series if it isn't already and will continue to be until BO4 comes out. I don't see how anyone can say the most played game in the entire franchise's history is kind of a bummer without it being a completely personal bias because objectively that statement is simply not true.

Yay, David Tennant!

I always appreciate when Jeff, Brad, and others are critical on any particular games' faults. It helps to keep me grounded and thinking about what I like and don't like. In this case, I know all I need to know of this game from being able to reload the M1 Garand at any point in its clip. In a surprise to me, that is my personal straw that breaks the camel's back.

Total agreement. Mid-Clip reloading M1 Garands, silly fake dot sights,no swastikas in a WW2 game and, in perhaps the most ridiculous of ridiculous political correctness turned insanity if not outright offensive, the ability to play as black, or Jewish, and/or female Nazis. Yay for inclusivity! SMH. How hard is it to just make your team always portrayed as Allies and the other team always as nondescript white German dudes with blond hair? I mean, we've only had this concept as both teams playing as the good guys since America's Army in what? 2003? Not hard or a new concept is what I'm getting at. Plus it would make enemies easier to see without having to worry about personal customization interfering with ability to be seen.

On top of that the create a class is less customizable than CoD4 and about a dozen gameplay issues I take severe umbrage with.

EDIT: Also, Yeah David Tennant is pretty great. Been a fan of Broadchurch since the beginning. He can carry that show when need be.

Team Deathmatch was popular, and the default, go to gametype long before Call of Duty 4, guys. At the very least since Halo CE. Irrefutably TDM was the basic by Halo 2, where the entire modern concept of online gaming has essentially copied to this point (and I mean specifically, MatchMaking).

In fairness, if Evilore was telling the truth (which he almost certainly isn't), then calling her crazy or deluded would not be an issue.

I agree. I also would heavily bet Evilore is guilty because he sounds like a douche and has a history, but him saying that she's crazy sounds perfectly reasonable if he is portraying himself as innocent.

I'm with Vinny, single player games aren't dead. That's ridiculous, EA probably just isn't the company to make good ones anymore.

Neither is Visceral if we're being honest.
