I don't care, as long as Brad gets salty along the way.

I like Gary Whitta, but I really don't care for his writing.

My mind says, "soda," or, "coke."

Ah, but my heart, my heart says, "pop."

If we are just talking the egg itself, I like poached eggs the best, but I'm not very good at making them and sort of hate the process. My favorite to make is scrambled eggs, 'cause it's easy and you can basically add anything to it. Throw some leftover potatoes in there, some cheese, a meat (or two) of choice, and maybe some peppers. Then throw that skillet into the oven. Add hollandaise sauce to that when you are done, and you have the best fucking breakfast known to man.

I can't speak to a MBP, but I have a 2013 Air, currently, and will simply echo various statements above as to the quality of the OS, the build, and the ecosystem. I used to be a die-hard PC user (though I still am for desktop/gaming), but this thing has really turned me around on Apple computing products (I liked their phones beforehand). I use it daily for my work --- non-technical but lots of writing and dealing with large amounts of data and notes --- and have found that OSX and the portability of the Air combined with various cloud services have increased my productivity immensely. The recent update of OSX also makes using a second screen STUPID simple for presentations, watching internet videos like Giantbomb, or just workflow stuff; it's basically plug and play.

Frankly, the thing was a gift, so I didn't spend any money on it, but I would spend the money twice over knowing now the benefits. It's a very solid purchase.

EDIT: Plus some less-taxing indie games do run pretty okay on it, and most indies seem to aim for Mac compatibility nowadays, too. I play FTL on the Air all the time. The extra power of an MBP would allow you to do a little more, but nothing crazy.

You know. Now that I've played some more of the game, I think that what I really want is more of this universe. I'd be happy with some well written books in this setting, rather than a single-player campaign

@andorski: That'd be great. I could definitely spare a few hours to shoot some duders and their mech buddies.

I'm pretty torn about it. I know I'll get my $60 worth of gameplay from the game, but I am, primarily, a single -player gamer. It just so happens that I liked what I played of the beta. The "campaign" is actually kinda gross. It's a multiplayer playlist with some very few custom animations and some VO that you can barely follow slapped over the action. The ambition of integrating cinematic moments with multiplayer laudable but, holy crap, does this come off as half-assed. The least they could have done is create more mission-specific objectives, as Brad said on the podcast. But, even with more cinematic set pieces and custom objectives, the game wouldn't be able to spend time building a world like could be done in a single-player experience. I'm a huge fan of sci-fi, and especially the kinda dirty, space-western sci-fi universes like Titanfall's (and Firefly's, Starcraft II's, Alien's, etc. etc.). With the right team or writers and the right mission design, a campaign in this universe and with these mechanics would be fantastic. Having a proper cinematic campaign with set pieces to emphasize Pilot mobility and Titan power, and to introduce you to the various weapons and gadgets would be cool.

Beh, maybe it will be less shite in Titanfall 2... assuming EA doesn't shit-can the franchise if this sells less than 10 million copies, or something.
