When was the last time a big box retailer made specific return policy exceptions for a product?

@senorsucks2suck: the argument of “working conditions are bad for everyone, so suck it up” is not the highly convincing argument you think it is.

Absolutely the move to make if CDPR decided to tell consumers to just go to where they bought it to get refunds. Their idea that that’s the way to approach it, especially during a pandemic and in the middle of new console launches, is truly astounding. The game wasn’t pulled because of quality, but because CDPR again gave a non apology and said “not our problem”.

The company “apologized” for racism, transphobia, and crunch but I have yet to see any meaningful change from them. Remember that 8chan discussion? Why should anyone accept their word on this, especially given they have no agreements in place with any retailer.

@nevergameover: is it though? I know there’s an enormous marketing machine behind this title but current hubbub about how bad it is currently would surely have some impact on future sales. 60$ is a lot of money for some folks and I think it’s way shitty to just throw the consoles they always planned to be on under the bus. I can’t imagine there will be the same scale of reception when it properly launches on next gen hardware, people would theoretically have other things to care about at that point.

Unfortunately this game and maybe even the developer themselves have attracted some of the worst kinds of people to defend it. I don’t really look at Twitter anymore but I peeked at Alex’s recent tweet where he quote tweeted a video someone took of a base PS4 running it. It’s truly bad in a way that feels totally unacceptable. Scrolling down through replies it was nothing but “well it’ll patch” and “well the Witcher was bad at release too” as if these are acceptable or even realistic excuses. Considering how much crunch it went through, how many delays it faced, and how many other titles moved to get out of its way it doesn’t even look like something you could slap an early access sticker on.

Edit: Here’s the tweet referenced. https://twitter.com/alex_navarro/status/1336844291801571328?s=20

We’re (I think) the largest privately owned printing company in the southwest and my family has been in the industry for 98 years. It’s a rough business, especially right now. Covid is rough because I know everyone should shut down again but honestly I don’t know if we could handle it. I’d try fighting for local work first, make sure you know what other bindery companies and shops are in the area so you can outsource work while still bringing it in under your name. Establishing an efficient workflow out of the gate will help you down the line for sure. And when you decide on your print equipment I’d get your operators trained on the maintenance and repairs as soon as you can. Best of luck to you!

You have to interact with the taxis in order to unlock them as fast travel spots, for some reason I must have missed this and wondered why I could never fast travel anywhere 😅

I wouldn’t advise lining up anywhere or gathering in places right now with covid as bad as it is.

Once had Fable crash so hard the entire hard drive disappeared from my system. Had to re-add the drive in bios again and everything, but even then that was after me having to physically disconnect and reconnect the drive to the sata cable. Never seen anything like it since then.
