Most of my diet consists of peanut butter sandwiches and black tea with sugar.

I forgot about those. Yeah Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are basically a staple for me, gotta have one every couple of days. Also Burritos from various Mexican "Grilles" where you pick the contents of the burrito, restaurants such as Chipotle, Qdoba etc., there's a million of them.

"News of the World."

"E...emails."

"No, Brad. Not emails. News."

I like News for the guys' opinions on silly things that developers, publishers or the platform holders have done in the past week. The stories often inspire doom and gloom discussions regarding the the future of certain aspects of gaming. I love dire forecasts and speculation on subjects such as MMOs, DLC, microtransactions, DRM and online services to name a few. I will often rewind a heated discussion of a juicy news item five times over, sometimes I just can't get enough.

Jeff. I played 93 hours of Saint's Row the Third which I liked more than Skyrim (only 70 hours). I love me some shooters and will binge on something weird like Terreria for a weekend or two.

Midway through Wii's life I decided that I am just gonna stop hating on Nintendo because despite the crazy controllers they put out each system they still put out decent Mario and Zelda games here and there that I can totally understand people enjoying even if I have long since moved on from Nintendo products. This controller just piques some morbid curiousity in me though that I can't help, feelings like "Am I missing something? Who is gonna want this? How can this not be a disaster?" So you're gonna be able to pick Link's boomerang and bombs off the Wii-U controller, that seems useful in that situation but is the average person gonna want this thing sitting around on a coffee table for four years between Zelda games while the rest of the games are gonna be some kind of cheap minigames, the ones that began to swamp the Wii when it became obvious no serious third parties wanted to develop for it.

Its basically going to be a big ds isn't it? commence ports of existing 3ds and ds games.

Maybe replace minigame collections this time around with up-resed DS and 3DS games?

Either way the possibilities for this controller don't begin to flood my mind the way they did after the first e3 with the Wii of the crazy things you might be able to do with it. Even with the seeming boundlessness of motion control scenarios at the outset the Wii, it just became a punchline for dust collecting jokes between Mario and Zelda releases. Could this thing be a uDraw tablet on a much larger and visible scale? I'm just not seeing it.
