3.Solidus Snake (MGS2)

From the early events of the Manhattan Incident it was made clear that Solidus, along with Ocelot, Olga Gurlukovich and the remaining members of Dead Cell had devised a plot to take over the Big Shell where rumors stated that a new and highly advanced battle station known as Arsenal Gear was being developed there. Calling themselves the Sons of Liberty, Solidus Snake assumed the identity of his presumed dead brother, Solid Snake, and kidnapped the current President James Johnson (The President originally aided Solidus of his own freewill).It was believed that Solidus planned on using a nuclear warhead from Arsenal Gear to create a gigantic electro-magnetic-pulse over New York City, and attempt to reveal the existence of The Patriots to worldwide public scrutiny and topple there power of the business community in Manhattan. Solidus later revealed that he was in fact going to give Arsenal to Dead Cell after extracting the identity of The Patriots. Dead Cell were intended to draw the Patriots attentions whilst Solidus would hunt the 12 individuals down killing them off one by one. Solidus plan never came to fruition thanks to Ocelot, a Patriot spy, who had helped orchestrate the entire event (see S3 Plan for more information). Solidus was chosen to be involved because his relationship with Raiden resembled that of Solid Snake and Big Boss.When Arsenal Gear crashed into Manhattan, Solidus and Raiden were thrown from the top of Arsenal onto the roof top of Federal Hall, where Solidus told Raiden his true intents and desires. Solidus, unable to father children and pass on his legacy, wished to be immortalized by history, but knowing The Patriots indomitable control of information they wouldn’t allow this. He explained his reason for the Big Shell takeover and his plan to kill off The Patriots, finishing off by declaring that only one monstrosity will have the privilege to live on. Solidus and Raiden clashed swords in a duel that would ultimately result in Solidus’ death, falling from the rooftops of Federal Hall with his spine severed.

2.The Boss (MGS3)

In 1964, The Boss was then ordered to take part in a major operation to recover the Philosophers' Legacy from Colonel Volgin - known as the Virtuous Mission. In order to acquire the Legacy, The Boss had to trade her way into Volgin's ranks - and to do so she was given two portable nuclear warheads, one of which was ultimately used by Volgin to destroy Sokolov's design bureau. However, with the destruction of the bureau, The Boss' mission was greatly expanded and revised - this time she would have to also help prove the innocence of the United States in a mission known as Operation Snake Eater. One week after the Virtuous Mission, the U.S. government sends in an operative with orders to assassinate The Boss. The man who must carry out those orders is Naked Snake - The Boss' beloved protege.Understanding the fact that in order to save the world and her country she had to give her life, The Boss gradually helps Snake with his mission while at the same time keeping up Volgin's trust.Ultimately, The Boss informs Snake about the Philosophers and tells him that as a soldier it's his duty to face an existence of endless battle.After a final battle between the two amidst a field of white flowers, Snake defeats his mentor and kills her with a single shot from her own weapon. In the end, it was the ultimate goal of The Boss to use the Philosophers' Legacy to unite the Philosophers back together and in turn the people of the world. However, despite being seen as a traitor by both the United States and the Soviet Union, she would always be seen as a hero and a patriot by her disciple - Big Boss.

1.Psycho Mantis (MGS1)

While on Shadow Moses Island, Psycho Mantis attempted to read Donald Anderson's and Kenneth Baker's minds. When Revolver Ocelot accidentally killed Anderson during a torture session, Mantis came up with the idea of tricking Solid Snake into getting the PAL Key from Baker and using the keys to activate Metal Gear REX while making Snake think he was de-activating REX. They made Decoy Octopus disguise himself as Anderson to talk Snake into the act.As Snake and Meryl Silverburgh made their way through the island, Psycho Mantis managed to control Meryl's mind. He turned her against Snake and tried to make her shoot him, though Snake was able to knock her unconscious. Psycho Mantis then revealed himself and fought Snake himself. On the edge of defeat, Mantis decided to awake Meryl and try to make her shoot herself in the head. However, Snake managed to both prevent Meryl from killing herself and defeat Psycho Mantis.Upon his defeat, Psycho Mantis reveals Snake's and Meryl's future, telling them to continue onto the communications tower and reveals a hidden doorway in the room he fought Snake in. As Psycho Mantis tells them he can read people's minds, Snake takes off his mask. He reveals that all the minds he read contained the same thought – to pass on their DNA. He also says that humans are fated to bring each other pain and reveals he killed his father and burned his village to bury his past.Psycho Mantis goes on to say he and Snake are similar, that he never agreed with Liquid's revolution, and that he just wanted to mindlessly kill people. However, he then says that Snake is worse than Liquid himself. He reveals that he read Meryl's mind and that Snake has a large place in her heart, though he does not know if their futures lie together.He then asks Snake to put his mask back on to prevent people's thoughts from forcing their way into his mind. He then opens the secret passageway and says that that is the first time in his life he has helped people, and that it feels nice. He then died, and Snake and Meryl continue to the communications tower.

7. The End (MGS3)

Born in the early 1860s, The End is over 100 years old during the events of the game, set in 1964. He is a veteran of countless wars, and is considered to be the world's greatest sniper, as he originated all sniping techniques. He is said to never require a spotter, and can stay in the same prone sniping position without moving for days or even weeks at a time. This is partially because he is an apparent autotroph - the energy provided by the photosynthetic moss that grows inside and outside of his body lets him go long periods without food or water. The End also wears false teeth.As with the other members of the Cobra unit, his codename signifies the emotion he feels while on the battlefield. Because he is very old and incredibly close to death, he will often fall asleep during a battle. His closest companion, a parrot, will, in this case, wake him up. The parrot acts as The End's spotter. By killing it, The End finds it much more difficult to track Snake's movements. However, this makes him become more aggressive.The End is also an expert on camouflage. His uniform is a standard sniper ghillie suit, and the sniping positions he chooses conceal him well. When in a prone position, he becomes one with the area - his body temperature lowers so that it is close to that of the surrounding foliage. This makes spotting him with thermal goggles difficult. Additionally, when The End's stamina drops dangerously low, he will call forth the sun's rays and recover half his stamina quickly.He is armed with a Mosin-Nagant sniper rifle that fires tranquilizer rounds. He also uses stun grenades when Snake gets too close to him. If Snake's stamina depletes in the course of battle, a cutscene will play where Snake slowly succumbs to the effect of the tranquilizer. Snake then wakes up in the opened jail cell of Graniny Gorki.The End battles Naked Snake in a long sniper duel in an area spanning three zones--Sokrovenno South, West, and North. It is a thick forest, divided into a river, a plateau, and a clearing.Eventually, Snake defeats The End. Before he dies, he gives a speech saying thanks to the forest for giving him the strength for his 'final hunt'. Before activating his micro-bomb, he says, I can return to the forest at last and that he has no regrets.

6.Liquid Ocelot (MGS4)

Sometime after the Big Shell Incident, Liquid Ocelot began a partnership with ex-Dead Cell member, Vamp. Liquid also kidnapped Naomi Hunter to help him crack a third generation version of nanomachines known as The SOP System. Liquid wanted to remove this system from his PMC Soldiers so they would be able to advance on America and destroy the Patriots. If the system was in their bodies when they advanced, the system would lock down on them and they would be unable to use their weapons.As Solid Snake drew near to Liquid in the Middle East in an attempt to eliminate him, he activated the first test for the removal of the SOP system, resulting in every soldier on the battlefield in front of him (besides Johnny Sasaki) affected by it, but all of them started to react strangely. It was later explained that although the test was a success, and the SOP was removed, the soldiers were suddenly struck with guilt over all the things they had done, and the mass amount of stress suddenly laid onto them caused them to break.Liquid headed back to his safe house in South America with Naomi, forcing her to continue her work. By the time Snake has infiltrated the research facility and found Naomi, Liquid has already left for Eastern Europe, seeking the remains of Big Boss who was being kept alive through artificial means in a lab by the Patriots.Liquid is seeking Big Boss to acquire his DNA for use in the experiment after his previous two tests, using his own and then Snake's DNA, produced less than desirable results.After a grueling battle with Raging Raven, Snake and EVA make their way to their escape boat, to find it in flames as Liquid and his guards capture them. Liquid shows his physical dominance over an aged Snake, humiliating him in combat before leaving on his own boat with Vamp and Naomi who had fled back to him. At that moment Meryl ordered the deployment of a battalion of troops to surround Liquid on land, water and air, completely outnumbering him. Liquid played his hidden card however, having seized control of The SOP System by using a reconstructed GW he recovered from Arsenal Gear's wreckage. With the weapons and vehicles of all PMCs controlled by this system, Liquid was able to prevent a single bullet being fired and the malfunction of the boats and helicopters that surrounded him. His guards then massacred the military that surrounded him and destroyed the corpse of Big Boss having obtained the DNA he needed already before leaving for Shadow Moses.Liquid intended to fire a nuclear missile at a satellite that housed the main Patriot AI, J.D., crippling the Patriots once and for all and giving him global dominance due to his control of weapons. However nuclear weapons were still controlled by the Patriots and thus Liquid headed for Shadow Moses Island to retrieve an outdated yet still functional weapon which could fire stealth nuclear missiles, namely Metal Gear REX's rail gun. After Snake killed Vamp and used a newly re-activated REX (sans rail gun) to escape the facility before it self-destructed, Liquid piloted the same RAY he stole during The Tanker Incident 7 years previously and engaged Snake in battle.Despite his Metal Gear unit being technologically superior, he was defeated and forced to board his gigantic ship, Outer Haven. Liquid then maniacally rammed the dock in an attempt to crush Snake but interference from Raiden and Mei Ling's marine fleet forced him to flee, out pacing Mei Ling's vessel by a wide margin. Liquid prepared to launch a nuclear missile at the satellite but was engaged in a large-scale sea battle by Mei Ling and her troops whilst Snake, Meryl and Johnny Sasaki boarded Outer Haven and battled their way to the control room that housed G.W. which Snake and Otacon destroyed.Liquid found Snake on top of Outer Haven, and dragged him to the tallest part of its structure where he revived Snake so that they could have one final battle. Despite beating Snake heavily, Liquid was eventually defeated and died of a new version of FOXDIE.As it turns out, Ocelot was never possessed by Liquid Snake. He used nanomachines and hypnotherapy to transplant Liquid's personality over his own. The purpose of this was to duck under the Patriot's watchful eye by assuming the identity of a dead man. This gave him enough cover to establish his PMC armies in the last five years. He chose Liquid Snake to serve as the ultimate motivator for Solid Snake, a Patriot pawn. Ocelot actually had no intentions of nuking JD or taking over the Patriots. He simply wanted them removed and a clean slate. In the end, Ocelot could not escape Liquid's need to fight his twin brother to the death.

5.Laughing Octopus (MGS4)

Laughing Octopus was born in a small seaside Scandinavian town, presumably somewhere in Sweden, known as the Devil's Village. It was there were octopus was eaten customarily. However, there was an anonymous cult that hated the village for this. During Octopus' teenage years, the cult was able to gain access to heavy weaponry, and they struck the village with a deadly overnight assault. Soon enough, the village became a war zone, ending with the cult gathering all of the surviving villagers and executing them one by one, all but Octopus. Instead, they referred to her as the Devil's Child, and forced her to torture her family and friends and then kill them herself, all the while making her laugh hysterically. Fearing death, she did so, killing her entire family. Eventually, the blood staining her skin turned from red to black, resembling the octopus' ink which they loved so.The event left her emotionally scarred, laughing with pleasure while killing her victims. Eventually, she was recruited into The Beauty and the Beast Unit, soon becoming Laughing Octopus. She apparently was informed by Liquid Ocelot that by killing Solid Snake she would be cleansed of her pain and sorrow. She was fitted with an Octocamo suit developed by DARPA and a tentacle-barren helmet, which she could use to carry herself as well as attack.Laughing Octopus was first seen in the Middle East, along with the rest of the Beauty and the Beast Unit, attacking local rebels. She displayed her impressive camouflage abilities by hiding in the shadows before striking with her deadly tentacles, killing several soldiers before being called away by Screaming Mantis.She later was stationed in South America, leading the French PMC, Pieuvre Armement, to attack the South American rebel forces. Arriving at Liquid's safe house, she and Vamp secure the area and capture several rebels and government forces. She kills all of the rebels except for one, at Vamp's request. Changing her face to match that of Snake's, she tells the survivor that Snake was the one that killed all of his comrades, which would cause the local regime to hunt him down. Using her tentacles to grab the armored van, she left with Vamp.Laughing Octopus was then stationed at the research lab where Naomi Hunter was being held. Snake eventually reached the lab and made contact with Naomi, but she was quickly escorted off of the premises by Pieuvre Armement troops and the lab was rushed by FROGS, commanded by Octopus. After Snake eliminated the FROGS, Octopus entered the lab herself, formally introducing herself to Snake before attacking him.Despite her impressive camouflaging and ambush techniques, Snake was able to defeat Octopus. Once defeated, her octopus helmet and face mask fell off, and Octopus fell to the ground. She remarked that she is an octopus, and the octopus' tentacles are beyond her control. Octopus then keels over and begins to spew what looks like octopus ink from her mouth onto the floor, all while laughing hysterically. Suddenly, Octopus seems to come to her senses and comes to terms with her PTSD, saying that she should never laugh, and that in reality she was scared of the things she was laughing at. Snake kills her and she falls to the floor, assuming the fetal position and finally bringing her to peace with herself and allowing her to silence the laughter.

4.Gray Fox (MGS1)

After the death of Big Boss and the downfall of Zanzibar Land, Fox's body was recovered on-site by a clean-up crew. He was taken by FOXHOUND's chief medic at the time, Dr. Clark, and became a guinea pig for Clark's gene-therapy project. In order to improve his mobility, an experimental exoskeleton was grafted directly onto his body. Aside from improved agility and strength, the suit also allowed Fox to 'cloak' at will, using a new form of stealth technology. In 2000, Fox's foster sister, now going under the alias of Naomi Hunter, joined FOXHOUND as Dr. Clark's assistant. She helped Fox escape his containment, and summarily covered up his actions when he killed Dr. Clark in 2003, reporting it as a laboratory accidentIn 2005, during the Shadow Moses Incident, Fox infiltrated the island in search of Solid Snake, who was on a mission to neutralize the now-corrupt FOXHOUND unit led by Liquid Snake. He first made contact with Snake after releasing Armstech President Kenneth Baker from captivity and attacking Revolver Ocelot, severing Ocelot's right forearm. Later, after taking out a large group of genome soldiers, Fox confronted Snake once again in the laboratory of Hal Emmerich, demanding that they fight to the death. At first, Snake did not recognize the man in the exo-skeleton, but after engaging him in hand-to-hand combat, Fox's identity was revealed. After a time, Snake began to prevail in the battle but before its ultimate conclusion was reached, Fox cried out in pain (presumably due to feedback from the experimental exoskeleton) and fled the laboratory. Fox later helped Snake in his mission by transmitting anonymous messages regarding dangers to Snake under the alias of Deepthroat (much as he did during Snake's Zanzibar Land mission).When Snake is drawn into battle with Metal Gear REX, Gray Fox manages to damage it further by attacking REX's radome, interfering with the sealed cockpit's sensory input. As Liquid fought to locate Fox and Snake with REX's damaged sensors, Fox revealed to Snake that many years ago, he had been the one who had killed Naomi's parents in Rhodesia but he was unable to bring himself to kill Naomi, who had been too young at the time to remember the incident. Fox begged Snake to tell her the truth. Following this exchange, Fox leapt from his hiding spot and again attacked Metal Gear REX, eventually destroying the Radome completely, and forcing Liquid to open the cockpit up.This made the tank vulnerable to well placed Stinger missiles.During a second assault on REX, Fox was severely injured when one of his arms was sliced off by the tank's laser. He was then pinned against a wall by REX before being released to fall to the ground. As Fox lay on the hanger floor, Liquid tried to kill off Fox once and for all by crushing him under one of Metal Gear's massive legs, however Fox's grafted exoskeleton meant that this first attempt failed. With REX's second stomp however, the only man to ever achieve the Fox codename was no more. His last words were directed towards Snake,

"We're not tools of the government or anyone else. Fighting was the only thing... the ONLY thing I was good at, but at least I always fought for what I believed in. Snake!...Farewell."

After escaping the Shadow Moses compound, Snake contacted Naomi, informing her that Fox's last message had been that he would always love her. He did not inform her of Fox's final confession.

10. Screaming Mantis (MGS4)

Screaming Mantis obtained her mantle in , stumbling into a torture chamber and ending up locked inside. Trapped with the victims for a period exceeding 10 days, she survived at first by drinking dirty water and later feeding upon the bodies of the male torture victims. Their screams drove her to insanity to the point that she hallucinated a black mantis was the one killing the males, unable to face the truth herself. To drown out the sounds of the screams in her head, she constantly screams herself, becoming the Screaming Mantis. An unknown time later it was said that she was captured and given the personality of Psycho Mantis via nanobots and hypnosis in an attempt to control the other Beauty and the Beast Units so that they would actually be effective in combat. Psycho Mantis returning from the grave because of this was an unintended but much welcome side effect, him being able to partially manipulate the women into functioning as actual war machines. Screaming Mantis is perhaps the most powerful and intimidating member of the Beauty and the Beast Corps. Able to fly by some kind of unknown ability, she also seems to be able to manipulate the knives around her with this same ability. It's rather apparent that she has great mental abilities that allow her to crush people at will. Additionally, it seems as though she can take control of the minds of soldiers, manipulating them like puppets to do her bidding, including killing their former allies. Turning these men into marionettes seems to be a particular favorite of hers; in fact, dangling from the many arms of Mantis are two puppets that appear to be Psycho Mantis and The Sorrow from previous Metal Gear Solid games. It has been revealed that the Psycho Mantis puppet is used to controls and manipulates living people while The Sorrow puppets can be used to manipulate dead bodies.

9.Revolver Ocelot (MGS1)

Ocelot took part in the takeover of Shadow Moses, along with his FOXHOUND colleagues. He was ordered by George Sears to convince Liquid into taking over Shadow Moses with the GENOME Army and using Metal Gear REX's nuclear missile launching capabilities to threaten into handing over the remains of Big Boss along with one billion dollars, in order to correct mutations in the GENOME Army, thus creating an army of super-soldiers. Liquid believed he was carrying on Big Boss' legacy, even telling Ocelot to refer to Shadow Moses as Outer Heaven. Ocelot, being the master of torture that he was, was given the task of interrogating the DARPA Chief Donald Anderson, also known as Sigint, Ocelot's former Patriots comrade, and the President of ArmsTech Kenneth Baker in order to get the launch codes so that FOXHOUND could launch a nuclear missile from REX. Unknown to Liquid and in an effort to cleanse the world of The Patriots and rescue Big Boss, Ocelot killed Donald Anderson (aka Sigint) in a purposefully botched interrogation. He then gave Psycho Mantis the idea of tricking Solid Snake into using the PAL keys that Baker gave to Meryl Silverburgh to inadvertently activate REX. Shortly after Ocelot got Baker's launch code, he tied Baker to a pillar and connected the strings to C4. Then, when Solid Snake attempted to rescue Baker, Ocelot challenged Snake to a gun-duel. Snake eventually defeated him, and as Ocelot went to deliver a surprise shot, Gray Fox appeared and cut off Ocelot's right hand. Ocelot then attempted to spin his gun in his left hand, dropping it. Picking up his gun, Ocelot then ran off, swearing revenge. Later on, when Snake was captured by Sniper Wolf, she took Snake to the prison holds in the second basement of the main Tank Hangar. While he was there Ocelot tortured Snake into telling him what Kenneth Baker told him about the PAL Key. He also tortured Meryl, to what capacity is unknown. He was then seen towards the end of the mission talking to Liquid about their plans, before spotting Solid Snake and alerting Liquid to his presence. Ocelot then disappeared once again.

8.The Fury (MGS3)

The Fury was a former Soviet Cosmonaut. After World War II, once the Cobra unit was dismantled, he returned to . He was sent into outer space on a Cosmonaut flight. An accident occurred, and upon re-entering the Earth's atmosphere, he suffered severe burns all over his body, which left him unable to feel any pain. While he was being burned, he saw the Earth obscured by the wall of fire. That caused him to be obsessed with a vision of the Earth in flames, as well as his development of pyromaniac tendencies. It is unknown what his special skill was during his time with the Cobra Unit in WWII. As with the rest of the Cobra unit, his codename reflects the specific emotion he portrays while on the battlefield. He feels unrelenting fury towards the world and everything else while he is fighting.He wore a fireproof Soviet space suit and was equipped with a jetpack and a powerful flamethrower. Unlike most flamethrowers, his used liquid rocket fuel that continued to burn long after it has been set ablaze.Upon Snake's entry to Groznyj Grad, the massive military fortress established by Colonel Volgin of GRU, Snake encountered The Fury in an underground cave. The Fury almost immediately took the offensive, firing his flamethrower wildly into the air and killing the many bats that dwelled on the ceiling of the tunnels. After a grueling battle of flames and darkness, Snake eventually was able to rip The Fury's flame retardant suit and defeat him. The heavily injured and horribly burnt soldier activated his jet pack, launching himself into the roof at high speed - believing that he was coming home. He was killed on impact. When he died, two heads made out of fire came down from the roof and chased Snake around. One of the heads tried to chase him through the exit, but collided with the doorway, thereby stopping Snake from returning.

G4TV Fuc**** Suc**

This is something I've been wanting to get off my chest for a while and I'm sure there are many gamers like me who share the same opinion about G4 TV. I first heard of G4 when I entered High School one of my friends told me about it, " Its Video Game Televison" he said I simply responded with " Get the F*** outta here". I really liked the idea of a channel compltely devoted to video games, there was one big problem I didn't have satelite I was a cable boy so I was pretty dissapointed, but thanks to the magic of the internet I was able to watch some of the videos online on G4's webstie. For three long years I waited and just last year I finally switched from cable to satelite and surprise surprise the first thing I turned to was G4 TV and you know what was on, COPS I was like " What the F*****************" I thought this channel was suppose to be about video games. I quickly looked though the guide and came to terms that this channel is nothing more than a Spike TV nockoff and after a week of trying to watch G4 and trust me I made an effort I turned the channel to something else and spouted these words, " G4 sucks". Even the one show that was suppose to be about video games X-play sucked Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb were annoying as hell I could not stand it. For one Adam Sessler seems to drink way too much Red Bull and you can't understand what he says. Then there is Morgan Webb who obviously reads off cards and knows nothing about video games. Overall I didn't spend much time with G4TV because my time is vaulable I know a lot of people say the old G4 is awesome and I can't vouch that because I didn't watch it back then. So yeah bottomline G4 FUC**** Sucks
