SimCloud City. Every advisor is Lobot! I'd totally play that.

I'd love Bioware's game (if it's not KOTOR III) to be some sort of Mass Effect-y TPS/RPG thing where you're a Smuggler, or a spec ops-style trooper, in any era of the SW universe. Basically I don't want a Jedi or Sith as the main playable character, or for them to be the main focus of the game - I think SWTOR proved they could tell interesting Star Wars stories that aren't necessarily all about Jedi vs. Sith shenanigans (I really enjoyed the Smuggler, Trooper and Agent storylines moreso than what I played of the Knight and Consular). I wouldn't be surprised if it was a KOTOR follow up though, as that's their Star Wars baby.

Also, DICE should make a Mirror's Edge spritual successor set in the Corsucant lower levels or something, rather than a Battlefront successor. Because dammit, I'll take more Mirror's Edge stuff no matter how I can get it.

Zen have just updated to say that the original price was meant to be £49.99, not £60. They're reimbursing the difference to anyone who preordered at the incorrect price.

Still don't think it's worth it at £49.99, honestly. Sticking to the Amazon preorder I've had since last August!

@chaser324: Yeah, looking forward to that one! Its the episode that Sandman and American Gods writer Neil Gaiman did. I Can't wait to see what he does with the Dr. Who universe.

Damn! Now, I'm extra looking forward to it. Neil Gaiman is amazing.

Oh shit! I didn't know he was writing an episode. That's really exciting.

He's written one before - perhaps the highlight of Series 6, The Doctor's Wife. But yeah, Neil Gaiman + New Cybermen = potential awesomeness.

I loved this DLC. There was so much great stuff in here - sure it's cheesy as hell, it's even pretty dumb story wise (Although I guessed Clone Shepard was the villain when you contact the 'Mysterious Figure' in the dead Casino owner's panic room, because the vidscreen suddenly displayed my FemShep's shock of Red hair!), but as a way of saying goodbye to those characters, it was perfect, all brilliantly written. Favourite bits:

  • Traynor saves the day, and I remind Liara to subtract the cost of a Cision Pro Mark 4 from my Alliance Funding.
  • 'She messed with my hamster guys. Now it's Personal. Guys? Were you gonna say something, or... no, no, I get it. Hard to even find the words.'
  • The FemShep/Garrus date.
  • Traynor vs. T'suza, Space Chess Showdown!
  • Grunt's Birthday adventure. At least the Noodles were good.
  • The Female Human Infiltrator complaining to her Vorcha pal on the Strip about idiot Vanguards she's encountered during N7 missions in the field, capturing the MP fanbase perfectly.
  • Inviting Liara up to the apartment... and she plays Vigil's theme on the piano.
  • 'Team Prothean here, and I've killed more than any of you combined!'
  • The morning after the night before, when you discover Mordin's datapad. The Perry the Pyjak altercation is hilarious.

Oooh, thanks for this! Will try some of these out on the Talon and AIU I've unlocked.

I've been playing the Collector Adept most, because I was lucky enough to unlock it day one, and I love him - easily my favourite adept, if not my favourite class in the game at the moment. I play a little differently, more of a glass cannon caster:

  • Dark Sphere - 6 (Damage/Damage over Time/Unstable Dark Sphere)
  • Seeker Swarm - 0
  • Dark Channel - 6 (Damage/Slow/Damage)
  • Vengeful Ancient - 6 (Damage & Capacity/Power Damage/Power Damage)
  • Ancient Warrior - 6 (Durability/Acension Recharge Speed/Fitness Expert)

I take a Paladin Heavy Pistol as my weapon, with ULM V for a 200% Recharge Speed and Pistol Power Amp II for the 15% Power damage - I want to unlock the lancer and see if that will give me 200% recharge speed and a beefier weapon to use between cooldowns, but that Power Amp will be hard to let go of! - and Adaptive War Amp V (+15% Biotic Damage) for his gear.

Basically, you nuke all the things. Cast dark sphere into a crowd, let it DoT over a few ticks, then cast your essentially 'free' Dark Channel (I tend to cast it at a beefier mob in the crowd I'm DS-ing, just to tick over more damage). Use the glowy-green prothean debuff from DS that paints targets to estimate your blast radius, and then when you've got 2 or 3 mobs glowing, detonate it - in Silver and Gold it's a guaranteed OHK on standard soldiers, can typically take out shielded enemies like Pyros or Collector Captains (or leave them on a single bar of health), and, depending on if you detonate it right on top of them or not, can take out a good third or up to half of a Boss-level characters shielding or armour, as well as stagger them. The cooldown post-detonation is long, about 5 or 6 seconds, so fill that time with either falling back into cover or plugging away a clip of Paladin shots on the remaining stragglers (or wait for the Dark Channel cast eariler to pick them off) before repeating your process. Due to your inherent squishiness, start the long animation of Dark Sphere from soft cover before popping out to shoot it at your desired target, and only activate Ascension mode in a safe place due to the increased damage you take (I typically only use Ascension for the recharge speed boost after a DS detonation, like when you're fighting multiple boss mobs and want to nuke it asap) - but the damage you do is more than worth it. It can take a little time to practice using DS to its maximum potential, but I really love playing the Collector like this.

Been on 20Mbps for 5 years, and actually just today got an increase to 60Mbps with Virgin Media here in the UK. Everything loads pretty quickly now and I'm not sure I'm used to it yet!

Getting very similar problems. I don't have the best internet connection, admittedly, but on the old player I could load entire longer GB videos (let's say 30ish minutes) in about 10 minutes - in the new progressive player, I'll be lucky if that 10 minute wait gets me a minute or two. I've tried the streaming option and it's hitchy as well as extremely low quality, to the point that it's unwatchable. I would try youtube, since I can load youtube videos perfectly fine - but for some bizarre reason access to that player on the site is now Members only. Currently, if I want to watch GB video content, (which I have to say, is the main draw for me coming to the site), I have to wait for it to be uploaded on their youtube channel, and watch it on Youtube rather than through the site - which, if you ask me, makes the idea of having the Youtube player on Giant Bomb subscriber-only even weirder.

I don't mind the aesthetics of the site redesign, but this has really bummed me out. I hope it's down to new site growing pains, because if it isn't, I might as well just subscribe to TheRealGiantBomb on youtube and only visit the site for the podcast - which happens to load just fine on its fancy new cassette-player.
