Fun Rednex fact: Much like last week's Scatman, they were huge in Finland. When the Finnish Broadcasting Company ran a "top 500 songs ever" audience vote in 1995 on their popular music focused radio channel, Rednex's "Wish You Were Here" placed 6th, sandwiched between "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "The Show Must Go On". "Cotton Eye Joe" is 71, "Old Pop in An Oak" is 356, "Scatman" is 17. It's pretty much a list of rock/pop all timers with recent flavor of the month one hit wonders sprinkled in randomly and it's pretty hilarious in retrospect. If you remove almost everything released in 1994/95 the list gets a lot better.
