Ok, installing it now. I'm a little excited...is that weird? Well, here goes...I'll try and post some impressions of the aftermath concerning this amazing event.

Well, I just played a bunch of matches and I definitely enjoyed it. I thought Naruto's basic attack using his clones was really weird at first, I just wanted to kick or punch a dude, not use his Jutsu. After I got a hang of the controls and the Jutsu combo/toggling, I started to get into it. I'm really surprised at how well the camera works and the speed of the whole thing is actually pretty amazing. I will say I did my fair share of button mashing (it literally says COMBO = MASH BUTTON). I don't think I was able to really feel like I was performing different combos by my own actions, it was kind of the same deal with Burst Limit.

Of course the Ultimate Attacks are the big visual eye candy here and they are pretty spectactular.

The awakenings are also pretty cool, though I didn't get to spend too much time in them before I decimated my opponent. Good stuff.

I'm interested to see what the free roaming content will be like and if there will be some actual narrative. So far though, if it's more than just a fighting game, I could get into it. It won't be long before somebody nails this whole cartoon/anime-can-equal-great-game thing...I hope.

It's a great demo. I think you'll like it Vinny. Make sure to try out both of the playable character's Awakening modes. The demo is pretty quick so you'll get a chance to play it a few times over. I'd also recommend finding a friend to play against to add to the experience.

I personally dislike naruto but I didn't judge the demo untill I played it. It just felt meh. Not bad, not great.

I played the demo and I think it'll be a pretty solid game when it is released.

Better than expected, and alot better than previous Naruto titles.
And no, waiting the 20 second install time for a new demo is supposed to be exciting ;)

I don't like Naruto but I suprisingly enjoyed the demo quite a bit.

I tend to find anime fighting games very mediocre, but I absolutely loved playing this game.  Although I may have loved it because I had someone to play against.

My thoughts exactly. I'm really hoping that the narrative elements shine and that the game stays fresh when I finally get my hands on a few more characters. Also, there are variations to the attacks you can perform by hitting a direction at some point in the combo. If you revisit the demo, try to combo your basic attack with a support character's attack and finishing with your ultimate Jutsu. I find that this can almost level my opponent without losing any health in the match.

yeah, burst limit lacked narrative, i think if it had that and a bit more linear story it would have been excellent but it seemed to just be fighting linked together thru a short, unfinished cutscene

From your mouth to God's ears thankfully. Lets hope this turns out better the Rise of a Ninja, which basically fooled everyone. Their has to be the equivalent of Budokai 3 for Naruto... Believe it!

Eventhough it might look more visually impressive than Broken Bond right now, I think I'd still prefer Broken Bond just because it has a story and it's not just a fighting game. Ubisoft's character models look impressive, But I'd still prefer it if they try to get it exactly right like Namco Bandai.

Demo isn't out in europe yet, but from the gameplay footage I've seen It looks like it could be pretty fun. Haven't played a Naruto fighting game since the first Ultimate Ninja. Seems like this will be better *crosses fingers*

From what I have seen this new Naruto game manages to pull off what the DBZTC games tried to pull off but could not :p

Seriously I thought the game was epic. Really great, but the lack of online does bring it down. Still this is waaaay better than the Rise of a Ninja game and Broken Bonds which is the same game.

@ RockmanBionics the demo has been out in Europe since the 17th.

Sounds like a good game, I hope they have the Japanese voices....I hope that is standard on this gen of games.

Loved the demo as well, got the same reaction to everything like the camera angles which are pretty much perfect in my opinion. The whole combining rasengan through your shadow clone combo is pretty fun.

The demo was just the fighting mode. What I'm interested in is the 125 missions in Mission Mode!! Gaara vs Naruto!!

It looks impressive, but it was like playing a commercial. I'd like to see more but probably wont buy it.

I totally agree. I feel that the closest anyone has come to nailing the whole "cartoon/anime-can-equal-great-game-thing" was Budokai 3 for the PS2.  I was very suprised with how much I enjoyed the demo and how many times I played it.  I am really interested in this game now and hopefully it can match or perfect Budokai 3's greatness.
