@fixbane: +1 on making Hitman it’s own show.

Don’t think this was mentioned but can videos be part of more than one show? E.g Hitsmas in both hitman and goty shows.

A VRodeo is any video about VR games! That's how it's always been!

We just tended to mostly do roundups early on because the average VR game wasn't worth a standalone video.

This one wasn't: https://www.giantbomb.com/videos/unfinished-ex-golem-playstation-vr-03172016/2300-11054/

But in any case, if you are going to label single games as a VRodeo please at least put on a face cam and/or green screen with it to differentiate it from regular quick looks. That's all. Thanks.

Why is this titled VRodeo but filed under Quick Look? Since I also criticized the Moss video about this let it be known for the record that I dissapprove of this labelled as VRodeo. Quick Look is the correct filing. The title is wrong.

I feel bad about bringing this up in the first place now after having listened to the latest Beastcast where they were clearly undecided about what to call it. But the thing is that VRodeo was specifically designed to cover VR games that didn't fit the regular Quick Look format. I know it's silly arguing about this. I'm sorry, Vinny and Abby.

@dg_nick: But at least they had a green screen and/or face cams. I understand that the east office does not have the same possibility, but maybe at least face cams to differentiate it from regular quick looks would go a long way?

This being part of the VRodeo show is bothering me more than it should. The presented format is just a regular Quick Look for a VR game. I'm sorry.

It would be interesting to know the technical reasons why the performance differs so much from the PC version.

Digital Foundry are thinking that it's because the game is so CPU dependant and CPU is the weakest part of both flavours of Xbox.

I was surprised to learn about their threading strategy in that it's best optimized for 4 cores, and not 8 as in the Xbox One and X (video). I wonder if this is a UE4 limitation. I know doom/wolfenstein and uncharted/tlou engines uses task-based parallelism (aka job system) instead of dedicated threads for things in order make full use of all available cores (gdc talk by Naughty Dog if anyone is interested). So maybe it's not the CPU in the Xboxes that is weak, it's just that the game is not taking full advantage of it (yet).

Yay, Jan! Small suggestion: Ease up on the camera switching a bit, otherwise great job!

Is it just me, or does the user interface and HUD make this game look like a low-budget mobile game?
