"Or just play more PUBG...." feels about like how I feel. Are they way better? Or is this a bunch of 'loot, wait, die on first contact' repeat sessions? Do they go spicy?..
Is this better watched as a high-light reel of the best bits or what? My memory of the feature from before was that it was extremely hit or miss.
They can definitely be pretty hit-or-miss. I tend to watch them in the background as I'm doing something else and pay a bit more attention during the high energy moments, like right after a drop or during an extended firefight.
@mobiusfun: I was saying that the mother isn't a big part of the games, not the daughter. Sarah definitely becomes a part of the later games, starting with Double Agent, but she isn't really mentioned in the games prior to that.
@mobiusfun: Sam did separate from his wife due to conflicts from both of their jobs getting in the way, which led to some estrangement. She later died from cancer, and his daughter came to live with him. They were a bit at-odds with one another for a bit, but Sam actually came to be really close with his daughter. I don't think it's ever brought up in the games, though--just the books. It's not really a big part of the games either, as they don't even mention his daughter for several games.
@steveurkel: I would expect some small changes here and there, but some of the beats from the original (such as Leon talking to the black cop) are pretty similar in this trailer.
There's a different version of the trailer up on YT and has clearer third-person shots that look like real gameplay.

However, there's also a press release out and it mentions that it features the classic gameplay too. Not really sure what that means, but I'm hopeful it's what I want.
This whole thing just makes Beyond Good and Evil 2 one of the most confusing games I've ever seen, especially when you add in the ties to the first game's characters that make no sense in something that's apparently a prequel.
This looks like Remedy's second attempt at Quantum Break, and it seems much smoother.
When I first saw this, I thought it totally was Quantum Break 2 or something related. The character kinda looks like Beth Wilder and the crazy setting made me think it might take place when she was stuck in the End of Time (obviously, this is nonsense if you haven't played the game). It definitely seems like a second shot at the concept with a much tighter focus on the gameplay, which was passable but weak.
Man, this is totally gonna be a RE4-like isn't it, based on that shot from behind Leon's back. That kinda lowers a LOT of my excitement for this game. It looks fucking incredible visually but I really wanted REmake 2, not an entirely different gameplay style. I guess we can't say for sure yet, but I'm definitely a bit worried.
