It's an intriguing concept, but am I the only one that keeps picturing The IT Crowd?

                yearly sequels suck...

Agreed. I passed on brotherhood becuase I had enough assassins creed for one year. Such a shame they are milking a pretty good franchise

While the idea of yearly sequels may suck, I don't see how it is milking (as in negative) when Brotherhood was an outstanding game. Yearly sequels suck when its consequence is the production of bad games. So far, that hasn't happened to this franchise. Perhaps it will with this new game, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Milking a franchise has nothing to do with the quality of the games that are produced, it is the principal of making basically the same game year after year with minor changes. Brotherhood did get a big addition of multiplayer, which is a great step, but it is obvious this franchise is going the same route as COD. The games might be good, but that doesn't mean I want to play a new one every single year.
I would have to disagree here.  If a game innovates with every single title then I don't think it is milking.  If a franchise only had a title released every three years but it was always the same, then that would be milking.  So far, AC has had significant improvements with every title, so thus far I don't think the main franchise has been milked.  Whether you want to play one every year or not is a personal choice, and whether the franchise goes down a bad path has yet to be seen.
I'm going to disagree and agree with both of you.

They are totally milking AC, and I'm okay with that for a couple of reasons:
  1. It's a business, they have to make money
  2. I think each AC game has been significantly better than the last
  3. It means I get a new installment faster
I don't understand the complaints against having new installment once a year. Are you playing the game 24/7/365? I hope not. Instead, it's usually a couple of weeks with each new game, then you're on to the next.

@SSully: I don't mind yearly sequels if they're good and continue to progress the story.

In fact, the more that I think about it, waiting sucks all around. Waiting in line for the roller coaster isn't fun. Waiting two or three years for the next Batman movie isn't fun.  I'm not complaining if publishers can push good games at me faster.

Sequels once a year aren't what's bad, it's when the sequels don't innovate on the previous installment-that's when the series becomes stale and boring.

@Meowshi: Distinct difference between having ads and selling out.

You have to pay the bills, so having advertisements is a perfectly acceptable way to do so.

Being payed to post certain articles or say certain things, that is selling out(not saying that Kotaku does this, I don't visit that sight enough to objectively say).

I haven't played either game in ages, but I seem to remember having more fun playing KOTOR2, despite it being lesser in quality. I liked having more customizable options...I think. It's been too long.

Rather than start a new thread about the teaser, I figured I would just post here.  I think this would be a good place to try and glean as much info as possible from the teaser.

  • It's been a full week since the Reaper invasion on Earth, and it appears that they haven't received any aid from any other species/colonies.
  • The narrator states the forces are regrouping, does that mean the bulk of the System Alliance military has retreated entirely?
  • Can we assume the Reapers are invading Earth first as retaliation to Shepard?
  • Have the reapers invaded all of the galaxy? Thus the slow response of aid to Earth?
  • The narrator says, "If Shepard doesn't bring help soon.....", This implies that Shepard will be recruiting other species to come to aid, but I can also see a situation will Shephard might have to sacrifice Earth to save the galaxy, or save Earth at great cost to the Galaxy.

What do you guys think?

Well, if you still wanted to work in the medical field, several jobs exist that will give you that opportunity.  In the states, you could become a registered nurse, then get your doctoral, and become a nurse practitioner.  NPs are still doctors, and can almost do anything a MD can do.

Or, since I assume you have a science degree, you could look into the medical sales industry.  They prefer science majors over business for their more complex products, as you have to be knowledgeable enough to teach doctors and their staff how to correctly use products.

Also, in the United States, you don't have to start paying back loans if you are still in school.

12, although I wish I had some autistic abilities, minus the negatives.  I would rule Vegas.
