  • They really freaking did it. Well some of it anyway. And they didn't fuck it up! Yet. Wow!

  • Incredibly compelling sci-fi visual novel alongside an enjoyable, light tactics game. The story combines just about every dark techno future apocalypse movie trope, but unravels non-chronologically like Pulp Fiction. A little repetitious, and a little too easy, but once you start you can't stop until you see how it all turns out in the end.

  • Bluepoint did a fabulous job updating the look and sound of OG Souls.

  • Obviously a lot to be said about this... As it stands, even now its a very fun game... But even the unacceptable amount of bugs aside, it should be so much more than it is. Why did they not take another year to get it right? Playing on PS5 at launch, performance is good, and the bugs haven't even been too bad, but it crashes quite a lot.

The most glaring problem is the total lack of interactivity in the world other than murdering random spawns of enemies, there are no minigames or repeatable activities. The crowds, traffic, and random NPCs in the game are really just lifeless visual effects, like random fauna in some other games. If you press X on a person, they'll shout out a non-sequitur, that is their only reason for existing. There's virtually no flavor dialog with NPCs in the world. No AI day/night schedule, nothing. Killing one however will trigger the cops spawning on top of you, which is the 2nd most glaring problem and one with larger gameplay ramifications.

One can speculate a lot about how and why the game design might have changed from the 2018 preview before Keanu was enlisted, not to mention whether it was rushed out due to pressure from investors or just poor management. But I think one can look at the game for what it is and not for what it should or could have been. The game should not have been released in the state that it is in, however the content and gameplay are fun and beneath the bugs is a good game, but CDPR have not lived up to their past work. I just hope this doesn't go the way of Mass Effect Andromeda.

  • I am a little disappointed; finding out the way the new content is almost entirely appended to the end of the game rather than integrated throughout, and I think I prefer the original ending cinematic and experience, but how can I say no to more P5.

  • An absolute joy to play while strolling down memory lane.

  • When I'm bored of playing Tetris99 I play Picross.

  • Best game to watch this year.

  • Wasteland is getting closer and closer to what I'm looking for, it's about 80% there.
