I've really loved some Lionhead games over the years. Me and my big brother used to have a lot of fun making movies in The Movies and dubbing them over with our juvenile humour :-D
@dougfunk15: I had a quick look at Dan's other Nintendo reviews and so far it's been 2 stars for Kirby, 3 stars for Captain Toad, 3 stars for Hyrule Warriors. So I don't think it's anything like Dan giving Mario games a free pass, the QL was probably just a part of the game that was relatively uninteresting.
And I actually really liked what I played but I just stopped.
Though isn't the whole joke about Geralt naming the horse Roach is that he names them like hamsters that keep dying.
It might be considered a spoiler so I'll just say it in the spoiler block thing but...
The human Roach you meet and spend time with in Witcher 2 is in Witcher 3. That's why when Jeff said that there's only one Roach in Witcher 3 people were quickly able to figure out that no one got very far in the Witcher 3 story because Roach appears pretty early on and plays a role in the larger story.
He is called Roche though, and Geralt named his horses Roach long before he met him.
I totally respect Jeff's opinion here and I can't speak to the story yet. However, there's something I could take issue with. He liked AW enough to give it 5 stars and mentions a few times in here the desire to have similar movement. As someone who hasn't skipped a COD since Modern Warfare came out, I felt AW went too far in the mobility department. The mobility in the beta for this game felt more planted and I guess more believable(?) in addition to the guns feeling more "real" in terms of sound and feedback. While still quite departed from the black ops or modern warfares of the previous generation, this game (at least the beta... the full version is sitting on my ps4 while I watch the office clock for the next 6 hours) felt like a step away from AW and back to what I want in a COD. JMO.... comes down to player preference.
