R.A. Salvatore

Well known as the creator of Drizzt Do’Urden, one of the fantasy genre’s most popular characters, R. A. Salvatore is bringing his talent and imagination to 38 Studios. The New York Times best-selling author is beloved for series like The Dark Elf Trilogy, Paths of Darkness, The Hunter’s Blades Trilogy, and The Cleric Quintet. He has written 40 novels which have sold over 15 million copies worldwide, largely because of his unique ability to weave rich characters and relationships in a fantasy genre that is traditionally thin on character development.

Bob was also involved with the Star Wars franchise and Lucasfilm, kicking off The New Jedi Order series of novels and working with George Lucas of Star Wars fame on the novelization of Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Bob’s knack for creating fast-paced action and sweeping political conflicts across cities, kingdoms, and worlds will help shape a new world at 38 Studios. With two degrees from Fitchburg State College, R. A. Salvatore combines his gift for fantasy writing and love of gaming in this venture. When not writing or gaming, R. A. sits on the board of trustees for his local library and gives talks on adventure fantasies.
