    Rayman Origins

    Officially revealed at Ubisoft's 2010 E3 press briefing, Rayman Origins is a new 2D Rayman game developed by Michel Ancel and a small team, taking the series back to its roots.

    no it wasn't. they never canceled it, it was just not talked about. a small team keeps working on it. just think about it: why would they release a HD port of the original now if not to bring the name back so they can properly announce the sequel (probably at E3)

    It's been put in indefinitely hold  with no new news or anything about it from the original announcement.

    not really, sometime last year we heard that Ancel was still working with a small team on the game. read here

    Even if a "Good" CoD game doesn't come out it will still dominate the market. Thats its job now, to be the biggest game ever when it comes out, the day that doesn't happen is the day activision stops.

    Was totally wondering about this game as well.  
    A quick search later, and it seems like there is still news to come, according to http://raymanorigins.uk.ubi.com/

    So, it's not dead... yet. 
    Then again, you can't trust Ubi not to do something stupid.
