Seems like an awkward place to ask I'm quite tempted to play RDR on my new home theater big-ass LED but I'm worried about any technical issues that might occur from gaming on the behemoth. It has a "Game Mode" but is it still safe?

Don't see why it wouldn't, image retention wouldn't be a problem.

Why had there been problems with LED tvs? Without knowing much about them, I don't think you should be afraid of picture burn in, like some of the old plasma tvs suffered from, but I don't think there should be anything like that with LED tvs.

No problem with that.  Depends what game I'm playing usually but I would prefer playing on something smaller for sure.

What exactly are you concerned about? I can't see imagine any scenario that would warrant you being afraid to play games on a tv.

Apart from the fact that 720p will look like crap on a 60inch screen, no reason it shouldn't be fine.

It's not a plasma and if the response your looking for is, Wow, you got a 60" led hdtv? That must cost thousands, your so cool. Then you got that response.

LED is fine. Plasma is what you need to be cautious about.

Why would you buy expensive technology, if you know nothing about it and even have to ask, if you can play games on it? That would be a very stupid thing to do.
