King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride

Game » consists of 5 releases. Released Nov 22, 1994

King's Quest VII is a Disney-esque point and click adventure about Queen Valenice and her daughter, Rosella, who get caught up in a quest to save the land of Eldritch from the evil sorceress Malicia.

    I love this game.

They should make another game in the series just like this one!!! But with HD hand drawn cartoony graphics, and all the early 90s disney cheesiness.

    One can dream...

This is the only one that my mom doesn't like. I think it may be because of the art style, but I don't really remember anymore.

I wonder how well a Roberta Williams-designed adventure game would be received these days. I'm guessing not very well.

It's tough to say what her games would be like now if she had kept at it, but there was some evolution there, at least from a gameplay perspective. For example, this was the first King's Quest where you couldn't make your game unwinnable.

Isn't Leisure Suit Larry getting an HD remake or something? That'll be the test. (I know she didn't design it, but enough of the design philosophies carry over to make it applicable.)
