I see that it's only 15 dollars on amazon right now, and was wondering if it'll work with RB3. It's called a track pack so it should, right?

I believe it should work.  It worked with my Rock Band 2 so it should work with Rock Band 3.

@ssj4raditz: @JJOR64:  watch youtube videos so you know what you are getting. These are live tracks and most of them have the wrong singer and sound awful.

@Zidd: They're live tracks you dolt. They're supposed to sound like that. I just went on youtube and they seem fine.

I must wait until Tuesday when I get my free $20 code to get it though. :(

They sound fine to me. Thunderstruck's an awesome song. I'll admit that I'm not the biggest AC/DC fan though, so I guess I'm not the best person to ask about them.

But yeah, it totally works in RB3.

Yeah, they are live tracks. They sound pretty good. Still, $15 might be a little much. I think you also have to pay like $10 to transfer it, so $25 for like 12 songs or whatever just isn't that good of a deal. I was able to get it used for like $5, and luckily the previous owners never transferred the songs (it's a 1 time deal). However, considering you might not be able to transfer them, if you really like AC/DC, I'm guessing a new version is the best way to go.

@TheGreatGuero: There are 18 songs, and I'll pretty much be getting it for free, so 10 bones is an effing bargain to play them.

Not only do they work in RB3, there are specific goals in the career mode that use them.

@ShaggyChu: Yeah.  Maybe the game doesn't show them to you unless you have it.  I'm not sure.  In my career goals there are sections for AC/DC, Green Day, and Lego along with the other ones (DLC, RB1, RB2, etc).  And within each instrument there are usually at least one or two goals specific to AC/DC (as well as the other importable games).

Which is pretty dumb, honestly.  If they showed people, it would entice them to go buy the other games.

I wish they did a Bon Scott pack instead of Brian Johnson. That live album is pretty awful.

    Totally.

@Jonny7892:  I actually like the album overall, but I agree that Brian Johnson's versions of Bon Scott's songs aren't nearly as good.

Nope, it's a great live album/dvd. It just doesn't translate particularly well into Rock Band and the songs are charted rather poorly.

As an AC/DC Fan, I'd rather have some studio albums. I don't care whether it's Bon or Brian singing, there are awesome albums with either of them.

If you have a Family Dollar near you, if they have this track pack, it's $5. Also, same rules apply for KMart. If your KMart has this track pack, it's five dollars, which makes it a must buy.

The one thing about the AC/DC Live trackpack is that everything is up-tempo'd.  For example, we had Let There Be Rock in RB2 (or maybe it was some DLC).  There's also a live version of the song on the trackpack, but it's A LOT faster.

I also remember Let There Be Rock being the WORST on drums :P Will have to research this.

This. Oh my God, this. I don't think RB2 ever advertised the fact you could import their other games. I think that's the one case of self-promotion I could have lived with if it meant online peeps having more songs :/
