On a financial call today, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked if Agent and Max Payne 3 were still coming. We've seen screen shots of Max Payne 3 recently, but that's not the case with Agent.

"Max Payne 3 and Agent are still in development," said Zelnick.

He didn't elaborate beyond that, as you might expect. So...there's that.

Hah, I remember the hotel room podcast of E3 where jeff said the game looked promising. 
 
Now, well.....it is a rockstar game so that means something right?

How about instead of reporting on news that has no news just to have something on a game, why not just wait until there are concrete details about the subject or something to show. It's getting harder to want to read some of the stories posted on here now because they don't have anything important or newsworthy to me.

So when do they buckle and admit it's going multiplatform? 
I honestly don't see why any 3rd party Dev would make an exclusive in this day and age.

Rockstar is committed to quality, that's why they don't reveal their games until they are finished.

Its nice to have confirmation this was still in development but that was always my assumption considering that L.A. Noire's first trailer was in 2006 and we didn't get another till late 2010, this is kind of Rockstar's M.O. 
 
I sort of love Rockstar's PR plan of showing nothing till they are nearly finished, then some small awesome cinematic trailers in the months leading up to release. The fact that most people barely know anything about how it actually plays till the game is out is something I much prefer over the tactic of releasing a trailer for every mode and weapon your game has. Rockstar is keeping the magic in game development and I trust them to know what they are doing.

Well seeing as how sony and R* both said they're treating this like the launch of gta3, I'm assuming both have put a lot of money and hopes into the project.  I assume we will eventually see agent, and it's going to be fucking amazing.

Cool. I was afraid Agent was taking the back seat to the next GTA. I'm really looking forward to a R*North developed game that isn't GTA. And I'm also really looking forward to the next GTA.

edit: Dammit Patrick, Rockstar Games is the publisher, not the developer. The developer you're thinking of for this game is Rockstar North.

Well, it has open world elements to it, but it's not true open world like Red Dead for example.
