    Rory McIlroy was born in Holywood, County Down, in Northern Ireland. At a very young age he was introduced to golf and subsequently coached by his father.

    After a successful amateur career her turned professional on September 2007. From then he has won the following majors:

    U.S. Open: 2011

    The Open Championship: 2014

    PGA Championship: 2012, 2014

    He has yet to win a Masters Tournament with his best positioning being 4th in 2015.
