Saints Row: The Third Announced For Holiday Release
“Saints Row: The Third puts you on top of the world, right at the beginning of the game, with all the perks that go along with being the head of an elite criminal organization,” said THQ VP Danny Bilson said in a sharp statement. “There’s no delivering pizza, no shuttling family members about in a long series of taxi missions. Instead, you take all the power of the Third Street Saints and you take the world by storm.”
Saints Row: The Third will see a release at some point this “holiday season” for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

here's hoping they didn't go all serious like gta has been as of late and kept all the crazy. i do love the insurance fraud, streaking and all the other fun mini games that were in it.
Hey PR guy- its probably not a good idea to bad mouth GTA IV when your game series is fucking garbage. Just saying.
"Hey PR guy- its probably not a good idea to bad mouth GTA IV when your game series is fucking garbage. Just saying."Sorry! Can't say I agree with you there. I've had way more fun with the Saints Row series than with GTA.
There's a large contigent of us who much prefer SR2 and think GTA4 is garbage. We prefer the GTA:SA style that SR2 emulates, just saying." Hey PR guy- its probably not a good idea to bad mouth GTA IV when your game series is fucking garbage. Just saying. "
Don't really dig the "The Third" thing. Just reminds me of Shrek and that's never a good thing. I loved the first two Saints Row games and I hope this one continues the tradition. I have to agree that GTA has become way too serious. I'm just glad Saints Row was there to pick up the slack.

I'm just happy they finally, officially announced this. Also, covers like this make me realize how much I love Game Informers new redesign. Minimalism is always appreciated. I'm glad at least some magazines realize you don't need to put fifty-million things on the front to get it to sell.
I think I'll pass on this one until I can pick it up for $20 or so. I liked both Saints Row games, just not enough to pick up another one at release. There are just so many games I really want coming out this year it''s fucking ridiculous. It seems like way more than any other year I can think of. At least until half of them get delayed when the new Call of Duty is announced.
I was unfortunately one of the few who missed Saints Row 2. Maybe I'll pick it up now that the third has been announced.
" I'll go to Grand Theft Auto when I want a meaningful, powerful, badass gaming experience. I'll go to Saints Row when I want an insane-asylum-grade-smear-shit-on-the-walls-bat-shit-crazy gaming experience. Both have a very important place on my shelf. "Couldn't have put it better.
I already love the sound of this. Played Saints Row II a whole lot more than GTA IV and I look forward to hearing more about this installment.
So as the leader of the Saints I wonder if you'll be sending Saints out on "Insurance Fraud" and "Septic Avenger" missions. AC Brotherhood Style :)
Na it wouldn't be Saints Row if you didn't get your hands dirty.
Really looking forward to this one.
I kind of liked grinding on story and side missions to upgrade the hideout, gang members, vehicles and whatnot. The Saint's Row games have a great sense of open-world progression that nearly all other contemporary open-world games lack. Hopefully they keep the momentum going for a great and under-appreciated franchise.
" They're ripping the whole genre, not just GTA 4. Though GTA 4 does deserve ripping anyway because fuck that game. "That'd be sweet if you got to meet some guy who look and talked like Roman and you got to knock him out or something. "EH JOHNNY, EHHHH WHAT ARE YOU..." *THWACK*
