    Screenshots

    Concept »

While screenshots were possible in many games using third-party programs, many games have official use for screenshots. Whether that be being able to take them, and have them uploaded to the internet or your hard drive, or have them serve in game purposes.

    Short summary describing this concept.

Example of being able to upload in-game screenshots to your hard drive can come from games like Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, where you can watch your games in a replay and pause the game in real-time, to take a screenshot. An example of uploading them to the internet can come from Halo 3, where you can take a screen shot in game, and it will upload to your Bungie.net profile. And serving an in-game purpose can be exampled by Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty where Otacon tells Solid Snake to take pictures of Metal Gear RAY and send them to him through a computer program.
