Today, Leonard Nimoy tells me that the podfish has completely developed legs now and that Studmuffin gave all his energy to continue on his species through the mating process yesterday.
While adjusting Poseidon’s environment I notice that he has changed color; previously he had a purple streak running down the top of his body, today he is all gold like Studmuffin used to be. Poseidon gives me some slack for always meeting at a late hour (usually 9-10pm) and then says that now it is December 1 and I need to do some holiday shopping for him. He wants some food and I oblige, I drop in a caterpillar. Rather than eating half like he used to, he eats the whole thing.
We continue chatting about the internet and he asks me what I use the World Wide Web for, whether I use e-mail or not and other questions like these. When Leonard Nimoy was talking to me before getting into the laboratory he told me if I wanted to move the big rock I’d need help. I begin moving it and Poseidon tells me he’ll help if I can answer his riddle, one of them goes “how many lives does a cat get?” I answered nine and he said they get one, them having nine is a myth. I try again and get the next riddle wrong as well but I ace the third riddle and we move the rock a little bit. I figured he’d just bump into it with his head but nope, he stands on his hind legs and pushes with his front fins, looks human-like.
We finish talking about the internet and I call it quits for the day, I’m still bummed that Studmuffin passed away but Poseidon turning gold cheered me up and was a surprise.
