Designed by Marvelous! Entertainment and localized by XSEED games, Senran Kagura Bon Appétit! is a music rhythm game set against the backdrop of a cooking competition. Master Hanzou believes that one of his students might be truly gifted in the culinary arts and decides to hold a cooking competition at his academy to find such a student. To motivate his student's to compete as the highest level possible, he offers up a Secret Ninja Art Scroll to the winner of the competition which would grant one wish to whomever possesses it.

Bon Appétit! is a versus rhythm game which places two shinobi students in a cooking competition to create the best dish. The player will tap the direction and face buttons in time to the music notes as they scroll across two lanes. The better the player performs, the better the dish will be. There are several steps required for each dish and at each step Master Hanzou will judge between the two cooks and determine who is doing better. The shinobi who is seen as inferior will then have her clothing damaged and eventually completely removed if she continues to lose the entire match. For each character in the story mode there are 2 scenes of exposition and development and 5 matches to complete to get to that characters ending. To begin with there are 10 girls each with their own songs and DLC will shortly follow to double the roster to 20 different shinobi.

DLC from the other Vita exclusive game, Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus, will transfer over to this title.
