    Ser Jory is a knight from castle Redcliffe who served under Arl Eamon until he was drafted into the Grey Wardens after winning a tournament at Highever. He is one of the players companions during the Joining ceremony, wielding a two-handed sword to dispatch Darkspawn with. After witnessing Daveth's death due to the darkspawn blood, he refuses to undergo the ceremony. He is afraid that he may die and leave his pregnant wife all alone, and as such tries to run. Duncan coldly murders him for daring to defy him.
