Not only does this seem disappointing in a game that - especially in the jRPG genre - is relatively mature in approach but most of the character models don't change to reflect armour yet they redid the female models in this case. The high-cut armor was in P3, and was given a special character model (along with all the other unique armor) in FES.
Also, *shrug*. I don't find it any worse than all the ass shots of Miranda in ME2. Games will have fan-service, sexual or otherwise, no matter where you go.
Actually, you're wrong. Only the rarer armors cause the characters' appearances to change in dungeons, and the guys have armor that changes how they look, as well. In my game, Junpei is currently running around in an open shirt looking like he's ready for a matsuri festival. The ladies all look normal.

Yeah, that image is just some artist representation of a rather tame alternate battle costume worn by Yukari and Mitsuru (her's is black). Apparently there is a silver version in the PSP version. Incidentally, there is also swim wear armor for all characters including the males available for purchase. I never found the maid one on my play through. I never found any of them offensive. There are much worse regular outfits in gaming.
It kind of makes sense if you trace it back to its roots. I think the armor first appeared in FES, which was pretty much made as a fanservice. The armor itself is definitely a fanservice. I guess it made the transition over to P3P (I haven't personally come across it yet). That image you posted is probably a thousand times more risque than the low poly model in the game. I mean, whatever... this is just stuff you expect them to throw into a Japanese game. It's the land of hentai.
I find it weirder that you can S-link/date Ken, making the main character a creepy pedophile. He's 10 years old. The main character is 17.

Yeah I did do a google image search for an in-game shot but couldn't find one - it was that or nothing.
I wasn.t trying to hate on anime or anything and I am not a prude - I just came to P3P after finishing P4 and playing about 10 hours of FES and was surprised at them going for cheap anime cliches - I guess if that is what the fans want though ... and it is good to hear they include some humiliating male costumes for balance as well.

I don't think any of the outfits are humiliating, only when draw do they become something they aren't, skimpier and so on, but that's drawn art, not in game. But.. it's not like I won't take advantage and draw it too XD

Yeah I didn't notice till after I posted. I feel bad for Shinji though, they didn't even give him an upfront pose. But it's nice that they now get to fight in thier weekend clothes, i was wonderign why every time they went to fight they would suddenly jump into school uniforms. XD

It's just funny that you didn't run into the alt costumes in FES. I mean I got Yukari's and M itsuru's bikini costumes pretty much right off the bat. Doesn't bother me at all, it's pretty funny when you equip them in FES because they both question you about it. Something along the lines of, "You want me to wear that?" Also the stats on them were pretty good when I equipped them. It's just fun little bonuses for the game.

Pretty much this. I didn't find it offensive, personally. On the contrary, the way the characters react to it was pretty funny. Yukari is pretty much like "Eww, you're making me where this?! You pervert." And the guys have bathing suit costumes, too. There's also other silly costumes like golden armor, maid suits, etc. Just a few silly flavor items to spice up the game while you grind through dungeons. Don't be such a prude, try not to take it so seriously, and just roll with it :)
