Thanks Vinny, Jeff and Drew!
Been watching since day one, and have loved every minute of it (except the grinding episodes ;P). Thank you Jeff and Vinny (and Drew) for many hours of fun.
It's been a long and crazy road, but I wouldn't watch anybody else play this game. For Jeff and Vinny, to haphazardly play and eventually like the game, brought relieve to me. I wasn't crazy for thinking this niche game was great. Thanks for the laughs guys, I would not have stayed at Giantbomb otherwise.
as sad as it is ER is basically how I spent my summer, I broke my foot so I couldnt go anywhere and I spent most of the summer at a summer home where I dont know anyone, and all I did was watch ER and it was the best summer ever!
So thanks vinny and jeff, I dont think we could find anything quite like this anywhere else on the internet and certainly not on a video game review website.
Glad to see it's finally coming to an end. Not a fan of Persona so hopefully the next will appeal to more people. You guys did a good job though!
I started watching this around episode 5 and I remember thinking that there was no way in hell you guys would finish the whole game. Yet here I am, awake at 5 AM just hours before the endurance run ends...and I'm still sort of amazed that you actually made it.
The endurance run brought me to giantbomb, but your awesome staff and video features will definitely keep me coming back. Thanks guys, and congrats!
the part that I enjoyed was the city and places... but the dungeons........ mmmmm.... i usually skip them..
A big thank you to to Jeff, Vinny and Drew is the least I can do. All those hours of entertainment, the effort that went into episode 50's madness, the whole thing has just been a crazy experiment that was a ton of fun to watch unfold. No other site could get away with something like this, and I don't think I'd want any other to try. Good on ya fellas, and congratulations.
Thank you Vinny, Jeff and Drew you made me forget the hell of university for almost an hour a day and created on me a wider scope to enjoy games, at this point spending 100 hours with a ps2 game was madness but now I'm seriously planning to get into Persona 3 FES and other awesome games that I left behind.
Gotta say a big personal thankyou to vinny and jeff for doing this. They also saved me in a small way - the first night that I was here in finland (Im here studying on exchange from England), and I was feeling homesick from everything changing, there was one constant in my life that I turned too, that kept me from losing my mind. And that constant was the endurance run. So thankyou Vinny, Jeff and Drew, sincerley.
Thanks Jeff, Vinny and Drew!
Lots of good memories, and i couldn't think of a better game for an Endurance Run than Persona 4.
If you look on the Atlus forums, you can see that no one on there thought they could do it. I warn you though, those forums are clouded with pretentiousness rivaled only by Jonathon Blow himself. Something about playing through a semi- uncommon JRPG gives people the feeling of being better than everyone else. Anyways, thanks Jeff and Vinny, for giving me another 100 hours to use in front of a monitor.
I started watching the endurance run with absolutely no knowledge of persona 4 other than 'the last one had teenagers shooting themselves in the head...so thats cool i guess' and had no idea on how the whole feature would actually end up turning out but i have to say 99 hours and 59 minutes and all i can do is thank all involved for what has been a hell of an entertaining ride.
So long Endurance Run and thanks for the memories......HO!!!
Thanks a lot guys. It was great. No seriously. This was awesome. Really. I mean it. That was a nice achievement. Yeah. Seriously. I'm serious.
Congratulations on beating the game, guys! It's kinda funny, but the last episode went up the day before my birthday, so it was quite the early birthday gift!
Wow, just finished watching it. Amazing. Great work guys, you really brought an under looked game to potential main stream spot light with a main site feature like this. Although i have to say that now that the ER is done with, this board will most likely fall into obscurity :(
Really, kudos.
edit : what was the final comment after the fade to black ? was that something someone said on the first episode or something ?
edit 2 : have either Jeff or Vinny made any blogs or posts about finishing the endurance run ?
Great job Jeff & Vinny. I really enjoyed watching you guys play 100 hours of this game. Probably more then I should have.
Oh, and while I hope to see you guys play through P5 a few years from now, I hope you guys wont do it to please the fans. If you two play through it with forced enthousiasm while you had your fill after P4, I wont enjoy watching that. And while I know that sounds selfish, I dont think most people here would either.
(i say this because I got the feeling you two were already doing that a little for the last part of the game.)
This must be the official "Thank You" thread...
Thanks for the hard work, gentlemen. The ER made me a fan of Giant Bomb, and now I come to this site all the time for news. I think Atlus owes you a great deal for promoting their game for no cost. Perhaps they'll send you guys something in the mail...
Rest easy, heroes.
What you've done is incredibly admirable, featuring a game that would've been a niche title otherwise and bringing it into others' attention. Sorry that you've faced difficulties from the viewers and sorry with how you've been bombed with spoilers (and a special sorry from me since I posted that comic that spoiled Gas Station Attendant's role, though I didn't send it to you). It's nice to see a Let's Play consisting of two guys having fun with a game with a fantastic story and great characters and watching said players both snark and be attached to the story at the same time.
Also great way to end the series with a pic of The Team and the first words of the series.
I for one enjoyed ER, they are the reason I played it myself...and even after playing several times I still watched it. Why? well cause it's fun hearing the guys commentary on the story and gameplay in general. and for the people that didn't like it...it's your opinion and your entitled to it.
