Cool thing about Ultra Fight Da! Kyanta 2 is that Masako is actually a trans character who is stronger than her weaker version in this game. Bless Jeff fighting to put it higher.

Ultra Fight Da Kyanta 2 is so good, if you didn't catch the AnimEVO stream of it, the two commentators actually cosplayed characters from the game, and the game's creator later made fan art of the cosplays, it ruled.

I might play Ultra Fight Da if I could also turn off the graphics when I turn off the sound.

I would have just make it "The #1 Not Ranked Game of All Time" at the bottom of the list with a huge asterisk next to it. But I'm no scientist to make such calls. Only the brave had answered that call.

That first game really exposed that Ben and Jason always mash 2A in every situation at all times.

(I mean if they aren't doing a random dp of course.)

No game has given me as many "Dong Dong Never Die" vibes as Ultra Fight Da Kyanta 2. It's, uh, a heck of a video game.

Street Fighter Alpha is cool too, I guess, but like Darkstalkers 1 it's sort of immediately invalidated by its sequel that's mostly the same game, but better.

I don't know if they want to do any kind of "Peer Review" episode where they get caught up on the games that were ranked with only two of the crew (like Ben's catchup episode when he joined the site), but here are the games that everybody has not Officially Scienced On

Ultra Fight Da Kyanta 2 got robbed.

the best thing of all time about Alpha 1 is that the Easy Operation mode is super broken. For instance, Ken's super in EO mode does (A LOT) more chip damage than it does hitting damage. There's probably some FGC veterans out there that could totally speak to that way more than I could though.

Anyway Alpha 2 is a drastically better game. Like Alpha 3 people only care about the original arcade release but the re-releases on Dreamcast and PSP added some cool characters and modes

That first game is so much better than most things actually. I almost coughed up a hairball when the cat did the same when I was starting to get over the cuteness and they did dark cat vs small cat and I was like God damn this is the good stuff in life.

Surprised at the amount of love UFDK2 is getting in these comments. It looked and sounded like complete garbage to me. Do people legit like it as a fighting game, or is it one of those 'this is so bad it's good (but not really)' things?

Ultra Fight looks like a game you’d see a page for in Hypnospace Outlaw. And I mean that as a compliment

Probably the most jarring thing to see this whole series was how instantly more competent the fighting looked as soon as they started Street Fighter Alpha. lol

The majority of people who enjoy it genuinely like it. It's not "so bad it's good" because it's not bad. Perhaps the aesthetic isn't for you, but that's something completely different. It plays well despite its outward appearance and a lot of work has gone into it. It's definitely not an ironic thing.

Absolutely the worst and most annoying game I’ve ever heard in my life. I really can’t wait till this whole “I like this ironically” trend dies. What a waste of a spot on this series. Hearing those same sound effects over and over and over made me just quit this video. Really on the verge of unsubbing, I would super enjoy them actually taking this stuff a bit serious and actually playing good games with actually analyzing the games instead of just beating a dead horse of a bad joke.

I did appreciate them playing Street Fighter Alpha. How much more enjoyable was that?

i mean again, it certainly wasn't made ironically and there's an entire non-ironic community for the game. i don't imagine many games make it to EVO events due to irony. i can understand not liking the aesthetic cuz it's pretty polarizing but everyone just thinking it's a meme game and nothing else is really shitting on how hard the dev worked and is continuing to work on the game

that and having a trans character that isn't mean spirited in a fighting game is pretty neat
