@benpack@unastrike "Lightning" is any naturally occurring electrostatic discharge between two points with high electric potential differences, usually in the form of areas with high charge and opposite polarity (the clouds and the ground) insulated from each other by an area of high resistance (the air).

What this means is that lightning could totally happen in space, and does! The vacuum of space actually has 0 resistance in the traditional sense... but it's also not a material in the traditional sense. So while electricity can pass through a vacuum unimpeded, it actually takes electrons moving across whatever gap there is rather than bumping their way between atoms, so it's complicated.

In 2011 we detected the biggest "lightning strike" ever, roughly equal in power to 1,000,000,000,000 regular lightning strikes, thanks to a massively charged electrical field produced by a rapidly rotating black hole.

Now, the important words up at the start there were "naturally occurring", so I'm afraid whatever Mr. Deus is up to doesn't count. That's not lightning, even if it is in space.

This game also takes me back! Back to a time when Gamefly seemed financially viable, and buying an ending via DLC didn't seem SO bad since I hadn't bought the game itself...

I do love me some Asura's Wrath, though.

For some reason, I'm reminded of El Shaddai. Both games came out around the same time and I played both through Gamefly. I also stopped playing both an hour in, due to not liking the mash-heavy gameplay. Both are cases of style over substance which is perfect for this feature as I get to watch.

This video doesn’t show up in Giant Bomb Video Buddy under the “latest” heading. It does show up in searches though! I am aware that Video Buddy is an unofficial app and lacking modern support but could be an data point for other apps or services with listing issues.

Oh man you have no idea how happy it made me to see you guys are doing Asura’s Wrath! It still boggles my mind that what’s essentially a QTE-game can be so near and dear to my heart!

Is this what I think this is? A series where the guys play through the whole of Asura's Wrath? I feel like this was made specifically for me, I'm so pleased. Was always amazed by the descriptions of Asura's Wrath on the Bombcast but couldn't play it due to the platform. Very exciting!
