I always appreciate Rorie bringing up the subscriptions services that he uses. I started with EA's subscription service because of him and I signed up for the free month of Ubisoft's. Probably won'y due the DC service though.

This has been an awesome UPF.

@rorie Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher's author, hates the games because CDPR came to him with an offer to licence the Witcher series for a percentage but he expected the game to not make any money so instead he made them give him an upfront fee for the licence. He screwed himself out of a lot of money so he's bitter about the games.

There is a very light bit of puzzle-solving involved, and there are a scant few sequences that even force you to think about evidence and how to piece things together. It is a Yakuza game through-and-through, to the extreme detriment of the game. tak is less capable in combat than Kiryu was, but the game is even more combat-centric than yakuza. The central mystery is very well-told, but the pacing is awful and is broken up in a way that makes the story feel disjointed. I won't say I'm not enjoying it, but it doesn't feel like the clean break from the Yakuza series that I wanted it to be. Honestly, Yakuza 0 feels cleaner than Judgment does.

PLAY YAKUZA 0. IT IS AN AMAZING INTRO TO THE SERIES AND EASILY THE BEST YAKUZA GAME ON THE MARKET RIGHT NOW.

Dammit everytime I uninstall Wildlands I wanna play it again. I once got a bug where I could kill any civilian and not get a game over, well it allowed me to just destroy every car on the road and create havoc you normally can't and I hate how they game over you if you accidentally kill a non enemy. The problem for me with Wildlands is it's such a huge map and a lot of the points of interest are pointless, like any game honestly.

I am so excited for Breakpoint, and one of the coolest announcements during E3 was that they decided to make team mates not just coop only.

Yeah so last week and this week's upf have been the two funniest ones in a long ass time. I also think Rorie has mellowed out and is a lot more enjoyable than he was a few years ago.

Brad snapping he doesn't justify his lives decisions almost made me drop some hot ribs I was taking out of the oven.

Looks like The Surge 2 is set to be as shitty as their previous games.

I mean this in the nicest way possible: Rorie, please slow down a bit. You don't need to do/talk about everything all at once. The blood pressure thing could not just be food related.

I had similar issues and it was almost 100 percent stress related.

Friendly reminder: Endgame is still in theatres so I don't think that the statute of limitations is up on it yet. In the middle of a UPF is a weird place to drop that kind of thing.

The Surge 2 actually looks pretty okay. I think I might get in on it since it has character creation and more RPG mechanics. Missed all of that in Sekiro but now we have two cool looking souls-likes coming btw that and Code Vein.

Was "Now You See Me" released during the Screened era? It definitely would have been a movie Alex or Rorie would have given like a 2/5.

Rorie mentions all the CGI, but I think I remember hearing a lot of people complain that the movie has too little "slight of hand" actual magic and too much CGI/person does a physically impossible thing magic. Like the magicians doing card tricks would have to be actual wizards for their tricks to work the way they do.

And the movie is very serious about its lore, hence why there are two movies with maybe a 3rd on the way.

I don't blame the writers for not showing up to that GOT panel. Yeah the last season sucked, but the vitriol that people have been leveling at them is not okay.

Edit: Young Blood is an alternate timeline, isn't it? I think that was confirmed when it was announced.

I don't usually complain about content but, man, I am ready for there to not be any more MK11 coverage. Can't think of many other games that got this much coverage in a single year (and we're only halfway!) other than Mario Maker 1, Hitman, Wind Jammers and Tetris Battle Gaiden.
