The areas you mentioned house the big, bad bosses that the story requires you to vanquish and should be done last. Anor Londo has some tough enemies but it is the stepping-stone to those other areas. The game gets kind of confusing around where you are because it's not very clear where you should go. The place after the Ceaseless Discharge is definitely one of the last areas you should be going to, though. Those bosses you fought in the beginning of the game are pretty much common enemies there and there's lava everywhere.

Oh and you just screwed yourself out of the Chaos Servants covenant. For a Pyromancer, they're great to join because they give you some really powerful Pryomancer spells. They can nearly instantly kill black knights.

Its too bad Jeff and Ryan are gonna miss out on Dark Souls. NOW is the time to play it! It is such a unique experience. With so many ho hum games getting 4 and 5 stars, I feel like we have been giving a pass to games that do pretty much the same thing. THIS game is like nothing else and it makes me hopeful that more stellar and unique games will come in the future because of the high bar this game sets.

Please MAKE the time to play it.
