Also, I am glad to hear Brad's view on the end of Borderlands. I recently just finished and agree with how bad it was. I had heard, but I didn't think it was gonna be like it was. Because I did not have the DLC on hand, I had no reason to keep going with the title.

As APB was initially floundering and going under, the GA team took advantage of APB's demise by sending out this press release talking about how MMO shooter fans "have to stick together" or something and had some sort of discount  that specifically capitalized on APB's failure.

As much as I love Borderlands, what brad and all discussed killed me for any replay. Also,I need to learn how to drift...I in fact need to learn how to drive..havn't really done a real racer before.

Checked out Idlethumbs yet? They are (or rather, were) a more chaotic pc-focused equivalent to the bombcast. I recently went through their archive and had an absolute blast.

Maybe not a popular thing on a console based site such as this, but i honestly thing they're timelessly funny enough that platform doesn't really matter. :-)

A couple months ago when APB went down they started some campaign like "we shooter MMO companies/fans need to stick together" or something of the sort. They also said something along the lines of anyone got burned on APB was offered a discount on Global Agenda. They also kept bugging the Giant Bomb team to take another look at their game. That's all more or less what happened.
 
The problem isn't so much what they as much as it was how they went about doing it. It was kind of shameless and them trying to profit off of another company's downfall. I played GA for a while and it was good, but that whole thing made them seem like a bunch of assholes.

Unfortunately, it's overrun by Anglophones i.e. anyone who speaks English. We should follow America's example and throw the British monarchy out. LIVE FREE OR DIE BITCH!! The Irish did it too, so did India; what the hell are we waiting for?
 
But to tell you the truth, this city has died and it's obvious now that the corpse is rotting...
 
Great Bombcast throughout; you guys were on your game! I especially liked the Vingocchi limbo dilemma: it would seem that a high profile game would make sure such a thing could not happen, I mean, there shouldn't be a problem which literally prevents you from playing; that just seems like your basic game foundation... But I do love the implication though: he is perpetually falling in a void and can only exist as a subsidiary character in someone else's reality; Twilight Zone indeed! (Ironically, living in Montréal feels exactly the same: Endless obscurity as I sink deeper and deeper into my own damnation, allowed only to exist in the false reality of someone else's construction...)
