@dough_montana: I appreciate it. You guys do work that I enjoy, and there are only some time that maybe I just don’t understand the reasoning behind some content decisions. These places have become more hostile towards any type of criticism if it isn’t just absolutely glowing. And I respect everyone else’s opinion as well even if it’s different than my own.

Thanks for reaching out because it’s felt like the staff has pulled way way back from the days of allowing fans to have much of a voice. Thanks again and I hope you guys have an awesome Thanksgiving week!

@aproposshadows: It's basically the same, but it's a lot easier to run this year. Makes it more fun, but it can be a pain online if you don't have an answer to your opponent's run game.

@y2ken: ah that makes a lot of sense. i’m really excited to get my hands back on this game, definitely one of my favorites of this generation.

I would actually like Business Dave to play a little bit of Madden on UPF, I'd kind of be interested to see someone who's actually good at that game to play it seriously.
Personally I only like the NFL Blitz games to play (can we get a new one already...even if it's like that XBLA one on new tech with whatever necessary updates like rosters/uniforms/rules) but maybe BDE could show off Madden like how Jeff shows off Blitz. Maybe that could be a Holiday/GotY feature, whatever would work out best.

Who wants to link him up to the early Bombcasts, where Jeff and Ryan devoted much of their time to talking about and reviewing energy drinks?

I'm all over that shirt! Fobwashed is a genius. CD Project Red totally stole his design. And I think I only have like 18 months of Giant Bomb left, so I better get another couple years while I'm at it.

@dough_montana: thank you a ton for the help.. i think most of my problem comes from the fact im running CINCY playbooks XD and the stretches out of that dont seem reliable.. do you have any playbooks that you love?

I dont wanna dog on you more than anyone already has.. heres the way i look at it.. you shouldnt support people because then you get stuff.. you should support people you believe in.. if they make something you dont enjoy.. then just be happy knowing you're helping make other people happy

there are so many series on giant bomb id wish they'd get back to rather than doing something like burgle my bananas.. but all i can do is hope they go back to yakuza some day

dammit rorie, take the time to try to understand what youre reading from the chat, instead of mindlessley reading from it. Maybe then we wont need to hear: i dont even know what that means, as much. I can't help it, i get frustrated by sentences like "using the crossbow makes the fight easyer...i dont even know what that means"

Personally I'm holding out for a UPF that has no video games at all

As someone with over 600 hours in Dead Cells on PC alone... that was as fascinating as it was infuriating. Dead Cells, even in early access, became my game to relax yet also focus my daily frustrations into the game. While I haven't played it much recently and numerous updates have changed things, I still can almost feel the movement in the game. The rhythm is a dancer. Its a soul companion. You can feel it everywhere. Oh and I know Rory was quickly skipping over all the stats for the stream, but not stopping and looking at which weapons were better was flabberghasting.

Jan is WRONG. Queen of Mean is, by far, the BEST Descendants jam.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: A lot of people seem to misconstrue or misunderstand the "Unprofessional" part of "Unprofessional Fridays". UPF (and UPW before it) has *always* been a show of "the GB staff does whatever they feel like on that particular day, because it's a great way for them to unwind after a long work week of non-stop video-game content". Every single show is independent of each other and there's no structured format they follow.

Some times there are UPFs with more video games. Sometimes there are UPFs with more "shooting the shit". That's really all there is to it. If you feel that it's losing you on a personal level - well, no one has the right to tell you how to feel, but it's a bit melodramatic to lament the downfall of a show simply because you, as an individual, aren't enjoying the content.

Has anyone else noticed that the spirit level of the cameras seem to be off the last couple of weeks? I couldn’t figure out if it was the angle of the desk versus the wall behind but it definitely looks like I’m viewing the video on a slant! Not to nitpick... Is it just me?

But seemed like Rorie was concerned about his segment running too long. Probably felt rushed, which isn't a good way to learn a roguelike you aren't too familiar with. It wasn't the best Dead Cells gameplay I've ever seen, but he still managed to make progress which I think was the point of him showing it (the balance changes to make it easier for new folks).

What item was Jan talking about that he traded away with the starter? I'm playing the game and feel like I missed something big at the start.

i loved hearing your story about the pokemon trade mishap (similar thing happened with me and a friend). However, you can always check who you are trading with before finalizing the trade. Simply move the cursor off of a pokemon (like onto the box button or search button) and the right side of the screen which normally displays pokemon stats disappears, revealing the name of the trainer you are trading with.

What happened to the cooking segment?

@foreveralice: It's more resource intensive than what they usually do, so I don't imagine it'll happen all that often. I would like to see more of it, though.
