It's not rocket science. Was the mixing person in a horrible stressed out rush to pack up and get on a plane? Because arriving sweaty at the terminal and this being the best they could do would be a perfectly acceptable excuse. Also acceptable if someone was doing this for their first time, was told to add the bits here and there, because this is something that happens as a beginner mistake. The reason people aren't mention this in the neogaf thread is because they love you folks at 8-4 so much that they don't deliver anything but showering you in warm salty gooey whiteish liquids, and diet pepsi.

(And in come the zealots defending this failure of a mixing. Enjoy going deaf.)

I listened to the whole thing on headphones at a decent volume and found it fine, the music cutting in is supposed to be loud guys. It's the hype train!!!

Personally, listening with the voices at a comfortable volume in my work environment made the difference in the music cues brutal.

I have to convert this to MP3 anyway to put it on my MP3 player, so I decided to use the Audacity leveller to reduce the music volume. It's not as good as individually reducing the volume of each music segment, but I'm lazy, so here you go.

Here's a version with the music volume reduced.

Yeah, didn't have any problems with it either.

But apparently that makes me a "zealot", so who knows.

Had to turn this one off. Normally an enjoyable podcast but my god do they have any idea how annoying that sample got? It was way way way overdone, to say nothing of the huge volume spikes.
