Well now this looks interesting

Dan mentions that vr headset don't work with glasses despite claiming to. I can say I have a giant noggin, and I still can comfortably wear my glasses in the Vive. The image isn't super bad without them, but they certainly help and aren't uncomfortable.

Vinny in VR is nothing short of brilliant and frustrating.

my glasses work well with all 3 major headsets. Obviously, the variation in frame size makes it YMMV

As with every VR game they have done on the east coast. It might be a great game, but I feel like I've seen enough "Beastcoast try VR, Hijinks ensue!" to fill a life-time.

Maybe someone with more patience then me will find the time-code for when, if ever, Vinny gets past that point. Otherwise, pass.

Yep still a shit show. They need a large space (or a way bigger office.)

About 13 minutes in and they clearly don't have room to play this game. Kind of frustrating to watch...

Yay, was hoping you'd take a look at this :D I bought it yesterday, only done the first two levels, absolutely love it so far! The art style and great audio and narration puts you right in there.

Does the game not have subtitles? That's a dumb omission for any story-focused VR game.

I appreciate that Vinny and Abby try to make the best of their bad space for VR, but I'm surprised they don't have the mics like the West crew has that attach to their shirts so they don't have to worry about the person in VR constantly hitting the big mic.

I could watch Vinny play I think literally anything in VR and still be entertained.

I think my favorite part is Dan's MGS2 flashback at 34:40 when they say "Big Shell"

Hopefully, they'll figure out at some point that sitting behind a desk that blocks the VR sensors is not a great idea.

I love stuff. It's one of my favorite things.

For the record- Moby Dick isn't 'real' but its fairly considered that it was inspired on the tale of the whaling ship "Essex" that was attacked and sunk by a large sperm whale it had been hunting (which was then itself turned into a deeply mediocre ron howard movie a bit back called 'In the heart of the sea.') the story of the essex though is super interesting and well worth tracking down, especially if you're into that era in any respect. although if you are, you probably smugly know the story like i do, so mileage may vary

jonah and the whale is the bible version, although he doesn't *live* in the whale and that whole story is really weird, even by bible standards

Yupp, VR just isn't there yet. It makes for a boring/frustrating experience.

Now I know that it doesn't help with their room setup, but still, VR isn't ideal yet. But it's getting better.

I love the concept of this game though.

You're right. Playing with minimal space, at a desk, with arguably the worst of all the big commercial headsets does indeed make for a frustrating experience.
