@moda: Square does not meet my Expectations.

For every good Platinum... a bad Platinum must exist.

From what I've gathered from Liam Robertson and some others, rumor has it that this game used to be very different until Square things happened. Maybe we'll get the full picture later, or maybe we'll never know what happened to this game since it's 2018 trailer.

Well this looks bad maybe Forspoken will be good.

I'm kind of looking forward to the PC demo to try it for myself. I know they said it feels like garbage a billion times in the Quick Look, but other than perplexing UI/presentation and the fact that you can't cancel out of 3-hit combo, they don't really go into why it feels bad to play, so that got me curious.

The graphics are bad for a modern game from a AAA developer like Platinum Games. They look like early PS3/Xbox 360. And the gameplay does look like a worse version of Nier Automata.

Thank you all for suffering together to make this. This game really does look shockingly bad.

It wasn't made by a Western studio so they will just ignore its impending failure.

I was going to play with he demo but it required a login so I just deleted it. Too much of a hassle.

It's always such a bummer when Platinumgames' game flops. There aren't too many interesting Japanese developers publishing games on the western market, so a studio who absolutely has the chops to make something great putting out a dookie instead isn't fun. Especially since there seems to be a cool game underneath all the crap.

Watching this combat feels like looking at a better Platinum game being played back at like... 0.8x speed. I feel like if all the animations were way faster the game might actually click in a way that feels fun. Watching the hang time on the air attack animations is so ludicrously slow and long where a marquee Platinum title would have been much faster and snappy.

It'd be a complete shitshow for a 4 player game, but it could still mean fun

... Watching this and hearing Jeff mentioned Anthem legitimately made me want to play Anthem again.

The HD video quality maybe bitrate(?) seems really poor on videos lately.

I’d rather play square’s other sales disappointment, Outriders.
