@ghoststalker: http://qlcrew.com/ then just go to the chat tab. This stream in particular isn't up yet though but sometimes it takes them awhile and sometimes it doesn't go up, so just check on it every now and then.

Rouge is lipstick.

Also, I bowled like 5 straight semesters in college. It didn't add any extra to my tuition, and it had a $60 fee but I got to bowl probably 200 games. I would always sign up for it if I had a long gap between classes.

I'm not sure how Dan has managed to beat Bayonetta on the highest difficulty and he never managed to take down Mr Shakedown even once.

He also beat at least one of the Dark Souls. I think this its just as simple as he doesnt really care for this game/series aside from the cool guy action scenes so he never really felt compelled to give it 100%. If he was playing bad from a skill standpoint but was really trying i wouldnt care but it was obvious at times he was just sandbagging it because he would get stunlocked and it would piss him off even though he was basically never in danger of dying.

I politely request that Dan not play Kiwami for his sake and the viewers

Alex: "It apparently uses the same fighting system"

Dan:

He has NO IDEA how much better Zero/Kiwani's combat is than the rest of the series. And I haven't actually played Zero, you can tell just by LOOKING at it.

He didn't care for streaming it...? I mean, seriously, that's the most obvious answer. Dan beat games like Bayonetta on the highest difficulty because he didn't have to be entertaining while doing it.

I've loved the Yakuza series and especially love 0, but the system isn't effective or entertaining unless you're VERY focused on it. Trying to be funny/entertaining while wrestling with a nonintuitive gameplay system probably isn't easy.

Really? it's a big step up from 5 even?
I was planning on playing Kiwami when it came out, then either the HD version of 2 (or the remake if they do it) and then from Yakuza 3 and so forth. I'm certainly glad they've made improvements but I hope I won't have to deal with a much clunkier system going back to older entries.

I'm sure I'll get used to it though, I play all the different Metal Gear Solid games periodically for instance, and their controls start out real clunky.

Dan has said "kay fabe" (I don't know how you spell it) a couple of times now. Should I even bother asking what that means or just let it wash over my head?

@robothamster: Thanks. I was already aware of that site and checked it out a couple days ago right after the stream, and saw it hadn't been uploaded yet. Gotta wait for it to go up, I guess.

@bill_mcneal: kayfabe is a wrestling term allegedly borrowed from carny slang that means stuff that happens in character in their storyline, as opposed to real life

The 6's graphics were so good my eyes went to overclock!

Also, Dan looks like a teacher.

This is really great series. Can't wait for the second season, though I think Vinny, Alex or Abby should be on the controller duty. Dan seems to be quite frustrated with the fighting system.

Kiwami does look like more Yakuza, but I'm up for that. Hope we will return to Beast in the East in the autumn.

'Pant' used in the singular is one of the most grating things to hear. Only people I have heard do that usage are stuffy middle-aged women who work in fashion industry or clothing store. eg, "a khaki pant..." or "a casual pant...".

Perversion of language.

Dan's reactions to Nugget are the best part of this entire series. Loved it.

I'm so sad they didn't get Nugget in the game proper.

Hope to see Kiwami soon beast crew. I wonder if they'll put someone else on controller. See a different play style.

I'm pretty sure Alex has played Kiwami, but i wouldn't mind them continuing beast in the east as a reverse mass alex with alex observing and Vinny playing.

Alex said on a drumming stream a while back that they were planning to do a Kiwami series "after Mass Alex wraps up". Fingers crossed that's still the case...

Here because I finished a rewatch, really wish this series continued.
