If I had to pick one good thing about COVID, it's that I love seeing the west and east bombers collide more often.

Plenty more to see in this game, but Vinny took care of business here.

Also, please give Ben a better camera / connection. His frame looks hilarious compared to the others.

I don’t like playing these type of games but I do love watching Vinny learn the patterns and beat them.

In the Squadrons character creator, I like how they couldn’t figure out that the body type option lets you switch between a male and female body. “In one of them the torso’s longer.” Lol

beating the game fully takes aaaaages (as in the proper ending). Or took me ages at least, there's probably people who blitzed right through it

Part of me wants to watch Vinny go back throw through this and the first curse of the moon for the new game+ stuff, but so many games, so little time.

Thumbs up to Ben's Firebrand corner infinite comment.

Some stuff that's different in "Episode 2" are: Bosses are harder, some have more attacks. You don't have Dominique so have no access to healing or Reviving. You do start with 2 extra characters so can access some new paths in the first levels that are harder and contain parts of a key to the sword hidden in the ice level.

If you get the sword in the ice level it powers Zangetsu down to his normal state, making the rest of the levels harder. The final level has a different final boss and depending on if you defeat it with or without the unlockable sword either the EX Episode or the Final Episode unlocks. Both of those episodes features the playable characters from the first game. Clear all Episodes and a mode to play through the game with any single character supposedly unlocks.

I am...kinda into what I've seen from Squadrons. I loved those old Rogue Squadron games tho.

I get it, but everybody's different setups and the way it looks when it is all together is an aspect that I really enjoy!!

@dreadnation: Ben's said recently how his home intermet's always been shitty. Maybe he's in an area that doesn't get good service or have any alternatives.

It's hilarious that Ben can't get decent up speed considering he is close to one of the biggest tech cities in the USA.

didn't realize it was a bummer. I just love when one frame is abby in a giant chair, one is jan all close up, one is fuzzy ben, one is pro vinny, one is jeff, and the last is the cleanest room i have ever seen. Just makes it feel like them.

I found it hard to believe people could be review bombing for the reason Ben said I want and checked the steam reviews. I saw nothing about race, the negative reviews were about the length and quality of the campaign.

@dreadnation: I'm personally not bummed out about the crew's portraits one bit. I just think it's funny Ben has such doodoo internet considering his location.

Vinny you could ground pound the floor with that first skeleton on the first screen and get access to a new route. The game gets MUCH harder, ridiculously so. If you felt the first last boss wasn't that satisfying try beating the mummy boss on Veteran without going nuts.

I'm well into Episode 2, and MAN. Without Dominique, this shit gets REAL tough REAL fast. You're basically playing without a safety net.

Hope Vinny revisits this one as it feels more like the inverted castle than a whole other playthrough: it feels like a natural continuation of the main game.

Also for FUCK'S sake, I don't expect James Earl Jones to show up for everything, but does no one at EA have Kevin Michael Richardson' number???

@stachestash: i have the same issue with my building. The City I live in had great internet but for some reason they owner of the building won't allow the isp to upgrade stuff so we are all stuck with shit internet. Or at least that's what I was told when I tried to go to the better isp.

@humanity: I'd say a big part of the appeal of the game is how good it feels to master the patterns and come up with the best approaches to the levels and bosses using the tools you have. Therefore it's good that there's new stuff to see as a incentive to play it more than once.

And yeah, that process in itself can be very "fun".

I really hope Vinny goes back to play episode 2, etc.

As others have mentioned, there are different paths in the levels based on who you have with you. And the sequence leading to the final area is an moment of the year contender for me for sure.

Think it's about time to watch through all of this one more time <>
