I sent this to Patrick via tumbler, but I will reiterate that I thought it was shitty that Patrick bash on the Tetras game/Ubisoft for a problem almost no one will and is probably hard to test.

@patrickklepek Hey man, Toonies are awesome. You want to go out and pick up a cup of coffee? You don't even need your wallet. In the US You'd need to carry 8 quarters in your pocket, weighing you down, making jangly noises while you walk. If you had a toonie then pick up one coin and go.

I never get up in the middle of the night. I go to the bathroom before bed and when I wake up.

I thought that was normal..

@patrickklepek: I once had reservations about Loonies and Toonies ($1 and $2 coins, respectively), but they are actually pretty great. Especially in this age where I almost never carry cash, it's nice to be able to grab a small handful of coins and have 10-20 bucks.

I was just gonna come here to say this! The only thing that's missing is a guest appearance from Paul Scheer, but I figure Patrick can pull some strings.

Also toonies are amazing because they look like they just put a silver donut over a regular dollar coin.

@ilikepopcans: In what way? If you watch that video the IGN guys made they confirmed the issue happens on a debug PS4 that isn't even connected to the internet.

Jacob Two-Two was a pretty alright show.

It'd be neat to see Patrick try out the DMC series and see why it gets so much recognition while DmC gets shat on. Although he said he would try this with Dynasty Warriors and never really did anything with that as far as I remember. Brad tried this with DMC1, but that was kind of missing the point since he never continued on to DMC3 or DMC4.

I'm really struggling to think of physical goods that might cost two dollars. All I've come up with so far is various office supplies and candy.

In regards to the Tetris/Ubisoft thing, IGN released a second video same day. The devs met with Greg Miller and they determined that the problems were being caused by Greg having 2000 friends. Disconnecting the internet fixed the problem.

Also - that guys's amazon reviews are amazing. I was following along in real time, so i also saw all his epic late 2000 reviews. I'm guessing he was a teenage kid at the time, not necessarily a foreigner as Patrick speculated. Or perhaps both.

This is the future, we don't have to deal with conversion rates! I just send all this antique money I get from work to this one guy on Skype and he takes care of the rest!

Kentucky Route Zero is doing crazy things with storytelling. Each episode feels very standalone. Everyone should play it, one of my GOTYs whenever a new episode comes out. Love how Patrick puts it, you can fill in the blanks with these characters as if you're the one developing their personality. People who like weird fiction, it's a must.

Scoops, yours and alot of other people's critical personal praise have put that on my wishlist.

The Notch stuff was weird. We're not judging him but we're judging him. No really I don't care but I'm going to talk about it for 15 minutes. No seriously he can do what he wants with his money I'm just saying it's weird to buy a house that big. NO IT'S NO BIG DEAL. WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

It'd be so cool if Notch starts another game under a different name and becomes a success then reveals it was him.

Bennett Russell seems like he has a lot going on in his life circa September of 2000. I'll just say that I was very entertained by that entire segment. Stuff like Patrick reading a dude's 14-year-old Amazon customer reviews is why I love Giant Bomb.

So it's basically the same thing that happened with online features for Black Flag last year? Good to see Ubisoft is learning from their mistakes.

The thing with Tetris is how easy it is to jump on it because we've been playing it for 25 years. It's such a perfect poster child for the current problems in video games. The four minute video that shows how broken it is on PS4 for one dude was enough release tirade of hate against Ubisoft.

I'm guilty of this too, I paused the Giant Bomb video to look up Greg's video and posted it on Facebook. But, I to shared the whole story after I learned about the update.

Yes, the game is broken if you have 2000 friends on the PS4, this is not an excuse. But cooler heads should prevail and it's worth it to listen to Greg Miller's sobering words in the second video (released the same day as the first).

"Everybody be nicer to each other. We all like videogames, that should be enough. Beyond!"
