Is Vinny reading the Broken Earth Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin?

I'm kind of relieved that this is the kind of game it is and not just a Viva Piñata or Stardew Valley type of game, maybe that's some kind of neat endgame sort of thing later on. This looks more directly my thing and a lot of fun, if it is as good as it could be it may just be one of the best games this year.

Oh my god this really is basically a new Viva Pinata that we've been wanting for years now.

I need this more than ever in 2020.

Hot damn, this thing is only $25 USD, at least on PC. Will probably be $70 on PS5.

Can anyone explain why all the coverage of this game carries so much goodwill with it? I'm not sure I understand what this game has done to garner so much positivity. Just speaking personally, given my underwhelmed reaction every time I've seen anything from this game.

It's cute and the theme song is catchy.

People want cute things in 2020. I don't think there's a lot more to it than that.

From the quick look this looks more interesting than I'd anticipated from the trailers, though.

@azuregale: I'm hoping for a dark ending, like 'you ate all the snax and now everything's extinct' as a grossly oversimplified metaphor of the impact of consumerist culture, carnivorous diets and habitat destruction on our natural environment. That would be great.

I thought the same thing. The crew was unusually positive on it during presentations and asking for more info on it. They were down on some stuff I thought was way more impressive. That said I think its all just a meme. I looked online and everyone is foaming at the mouth for how good bugsnax is yet no one explains it. Some scream GOTY etc. Im almost sure its a meme but im kinda resistant to those meme games these days. Got burnt too often. And no i didnt fall into the among us crowd. Folds old man on lawn hands. GET OFF!
