This finally got me to got me to put $5 into giant bomb. Well done Dan and Dew.

Finally, someone who feels the same way about those Tomb Raider games as I do.

I am 1,000% invested in this.

Tomb Raider was better on PC (graphics + controls) but the puzzles and platforming were still ass.

I played that MGS demo a lot. Also played a lot of MediEvil.

Hope Dan & Drew continue with these Demo Derby's! This was an awesome nostalgia trip and would love to see more.

Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped was the first ever game i played on my first console; the PS1. So serious nostalgia kick there. This is going to be a great series.

Yes! I remember playing this demo disc hundreds of times over while I saved up enough to buy a full game. Thanks for the nostalgic trip down memory lane, fellas. Really awesome.

True, but the clone thing with Solid/Liquid and the reveal of Solidus in 2 are major plot points for the rest of the series. But yeah, hopefully Drew has forgotten all about it.

Oh man, I got that Tomb Raider for christmas. Even as a little kid I HATED that game.

I just caught up on MGScanlon and wow, Dan spoiled so much stuff in this Demo Derby. It seems like Drew doesn't remember any of it, or at least I hope he doesn't.

@talon64: I know, right? I was thinking the same thing. It doesn't seem like Drew remembered any of it, or just was playing like he didn't know.

This was a good batch of nostalgia. I remember the first time playing Metal Gear Solid was on a demo disc, but it wasn't this one - the one I played was actually Japanese voiced with English subtitles. It later became my favorite game series of all time.

Also, this was very educational when I found out that "Sean Barker" was a pseudonym for David Hayter.

Idk if this was answered but Sean Barker is the name of the main character from Guyver, which David Hayter played as. I guess because of some union stuff he had to use a pseudonym,

It's hard listening to Dan talk trash about Tomb Raider III especially saying the recent one was the best... sure, it's aged horribly, but at the time that original triology was fantastic. They did a great job at creating a dark thriller-like atmosphere while taking you to mysterious places I had never seen in a video game before. I still know exactly how I felt playing those games. The sense of adventure was unrivalled at the time.

Other than being an action adventure game with puzzles, it's nothing like Zelda. Tonally it couldn't be more opposite.

That GT1 music is bringing me BACK. WOOOOOOW.

shitty zelda lol. dan can be so dense sometimes when he doesn't "get it." probably one of the best demo discs though and eventually resulted in me owning at least one copy of each of these games over the years.
