E3 2010: Killzone 3 Gameplay Demo

Nice! I love how the jetpack flames change color depending on what you're doing on it. Plus the sound effects.

Damn just missed it, but seriously the demo looks really cool.  I was surprised how good it looked given that it was in 3D and I was figuring some form of graphic downgrade may happen as a result.

For pre alpha it's looking pretty tasty. I like the way that jetpack handles too.

Did anyone here play killzone 1?

I played killzone 1 online beta. Was pretty broken, heh.  
 
Edit: The beta that was. I have fond memories of shooting a rocket and a whole screen of dudes dying even though they were miles away.

These distinctions are important when you're giving some geek a swirly.

As long as Rico dies early... I don't understand how he could  be considered responsible to be in any sort of command.

You have to be able to see the flames though, to see the color changes - so whatev.  Looks cool.

They had better improve the friendly AI.

Those jetpacks seem crazy and overly complicated.

If they have to delay the game five months to re-write the game and kill off Rico, then I'd be happy to wait.
 
And I like how the jetpack just shoots ridiculously powerful fire right in front of your face. Besides that, and the confusingly misleading ending of this trailer, it's looking cool.

I hope they learned a lot from Killzone 2. This is their chance to tell a better story with better characterisation and hopefully the single-player level design is greatly improved to boot. Still needs more Helghast from the look of the pre-alpha demo.

Rico is still there but he can now revive you if you are about to die. So he has some use. "

I've never played a Killzone game before so forgive me if this question is sorta old hat but is it meant to be that goofy? Your squad member is telling you not to mess with his hair, the enemies have crazy over the top voices, JETPACKS!?
 
I always got the impression that Killzone was a dark, no nonsense kind of affair.

Oh hey... bright colours. Its not nearly as dark and black as Killzone 2 semeed.

I dunno jetpacks that play the part of a double jump doesn't seem that jet packy.

Whoever's playing must have godmode on because they don't give a FUCK about aiming or taking hits.

Liking how noisy and jolt-y the jetpack is. Otherwise it seems like Killzone 2 in the snow so far.

It looks good but I just hope the jet packs doesn't ruin the online.

Wow, the voice acting has improved by leaps and bounds. Already very impressed. 

I see that you're still 3 feet tall in this game. 

I have never been interested in Killzone nor have I ever played one, but this looks pretty good. I hope they put this demo on PSN.

I still think that Killzone 2 and now 3 have the best character death animations, I can't get enough of killing them Helghaust

That rough sea looks really good, but still not sure it's going to be such a huge improvement over the second.

It looks good visually just like 2 did. However, it appears from this that it still handles sluggish and the field of view when on foot of is fucking piss poor, it would help if the controls were refined and the field of view was wider.
