E3 2011: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Stage Demo

Hey guys, I think this game is going to sell a few copies. Just a hunch.

Explosions underwater... that close... yeeeeah safe

Nothing new here but it looks good.  I will play it, but I am really hoping they blow the doors off of spec ops.

They would not survive being that close to a detonation underwater.

Thought they'd step it up since they face real competition from Battlefield 3, then again I guess they don't have to.
 
Oh well. Still getting the latter.

This game looks amazing. I can't wait to watch other people do cool shit while I'm told to "follow" behind.

Looks like a fun summer movie.  Is there a game tie-in being released or something?

Looks like it'll deliver on expectations and do little more beyond that.

I could not help but think "Oh you just took that cargo ship level from CoD4 and put that in this game....I see what you did there."

I think the guy on the front of the boat needs to shift from left to right more often.

Yeah, ok. Looked fine, and I'll probably play the SP campaign to finish this.

But I have no interest in multiplayer what so ever.

Looks cool but this game litterally looks like theve cut up MW1 and 2 and spliced them together to make this demo.

I have remote interest in this but Im still waiting for a reason to make this any more than a rental.

Cool trailer. Looks okay. I know The Boys poo-poo it, and I understand why. It doesn't make me want to play it any less. If they can do some sweet multiplayer stuff in landscapes that I would recognize/have been to (if they base ANYTHING in Seattle, I'm there) then I'm sold. I know it's the same old tired ass gameplay, but I happen to like that tired ass gameplay.

I can't help but feel all this stuff would be better were it showing Soap, Price, Makarov or any of the returning characters doing something that relates to the plot instead of just disjointed battle scenes.

im a COD fan, but after all the bullshit in multiplayer in the past 2 games, they just cant seem to get it right. no balance or anything. didn't even get too excited about this. but i guess well see

More Modern Warfare not really exciting me anymore.

So tired of this formula by now. Thanks, but no thanks.

It looks silly and stupid, but that's exactly what makes it a fun rental. And so what if it's the same game again, there are plenty of other games out there that are what you're looking for. FPSs are fun to play every now and again, and CoD provides the one shooter a year that I play. 

Are they still doing that horrible bs story of Russia invading the US?  I expect another five hour average game with too much scripting.

Last CoD I'll play I think, just to finish the trilogy. Maybe I'll play some multiplayer and Spec Ops too. But I think it's enough of that.

Wait, it's Call of Duty 4 again? I was kinda hoping they'd actually release a different game this time. They've had, what, four years now?

I thought you only got launch codes when you got 25 kills without dying.

looks like youll be shooting more dudes in the face and experiencing slow motion breaches...  i guess the multiplayer is going to be fun?

Wow it looks like......the same Call of Duty from two years ago.

I more eager to play Battlefield, but more eager to watch MW3; will probably end up getting both.

I'm more interested in BF3 but I'll likely be getting this as well.

Looks like a great SP experience. 
 
Just wondering: how hard of a programming feat is it to make sure that smoke particles and animations don't clip walls/ceilings?  It would certainly make things look more believable.

Whoa...8 minutes of footage?  That's like half of the campaign! 

im going to play it because i want to see the end of this story arch... and see what the can do to make the online feel somewhat fresh... 
 
but i have very little excitement for this game

I'll get it cus all my friends will get it and i want to be able to play a game with all my friends and have a good time with all my friends. Its not about the game, it's who you play it with.

As the one of three people to say so - It looks awesome, and I want to play it.

I think the COD franchise has gone downhill since MW. I can stand to play about half an hour of MW2 nowadays. I'm just watching this going, alright that looks pretty cool. Then I watch the BF3 trailer and go "ooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaant." Clearly I've already decided which one I'll be buying and playing.

ummm wouldnt you just get totally sucked into those big ass submarine engine blades? sigh

I've pre-ordered this and will play it for sure, although yes it does look like MW2.
