- There's stealth in Gamespots Deus Ex demo (action + stealth versions of the same bit of a level)

- Deus Ex guy said that the cutscenes are all in game and not CG (during his appearance on IGN)

I think I heard that all the endings of the first Deus Ex were combined and used in invisible war, I didn't play that one alot so I don't know for sure.

They did the "all of the endings happened at once" thing for Invisible War too.

@austin_walker Deus Ex: Invisible War kind of set the stage for unifying multiple endings in the Deus Ex series. It took the three incompatible endings from the original Deus Ex and kinda smooshed bits and pieces of them together. Daggerfall gets away with not having to come up with practical reasons for this being possible because magic and like multiple realities and stuff.

Everything said about Hitman is a good thing, it sounds like they really did acknowledge what went wrong with Absolution and have realized that what they had with the old Hitman games was incredibly unique to them.

My only concern now is how much content we get initially for $60 with their new release plan thing. I hope it's at least close to the average 10-12 missions from the previous Hitmans.

HITMAN is December 8th for the initial (digital only) release. With stuff getting shoved in until the game gets a complete, and physical, release in 2016.

Square/Eidos really leaning into systems based gameplay for their big upcoming titles is exciting. All three of these sound promising, though it'd be nice to have a better handle on where Deus Ex is at. Hope it works out for them.

Wasn't the last Deus ex the complete reverse as far as status of augs and norms? I thougt that all the non-augmented people were second class citizens in the last game.

Hitman hype. Dropping targets into the world that you have to find and kill in a short time period sounds fucking awesome. I can't wait.

Crossing my fingers that they don't fumble the marketing so hard for any of these games that I decide just not to buy them, as was the case with Absolution.

I could never really sympathize with the boss fight complaints in Deus Ex: HR

If you went into those fights unprepared, tough shit, that's on you, the game gave you dozens of ways to get prepared. To boot boss rooms were always full of items and weapons aplenty to take them down. Even as a stealth character there was never a problem.

Vinny should be a golf announcer. His "we're gonna take it down a notch" voice was spot-on.

@tennmuerti: I had the same lack of sympathy for the boss battles being a forced fight. The drawback of making a stealth-focused class is that combat will be more challenging. The drawback of being combat-focused is that stealth will be more challenging.

So very curious what they'll end up doing with Deus Ex. Hopefully it's going to be great.

Also everything about Just Cause sounds cool.

Think of Mankind Divided as the Regan Revolution to Human Revolution's 1970's liberalism. Or maybe the reverse. I don't know.

@tennmuerti: The complaints were mostly that the fights were not fun and did not let you approach the fights more than one way, despite the game emphasizing that elsewhere. It's not that they were necessarily hard. (In fact they were mostly stupid easy if you invested in that one super attack, whatever it was called.) I don't remember many complaints about it being hard to prepare for them.

@zeik: That criticism I can understand a bit. But yes the complaints were also (especially from the GB crew for example, at release time and as can be heard here) is that if you were say playing as a stealth character you were left with your ass hanging in the wind when you met the bosses.

I hope Square returns to Deus Ex at some point. The last two games weren't perfect, but I really enjoy that universe. At least we have Cyberpunk 2077 to look forward to.
