So the FBI sends an agent to apprehend a homicidal maniac but when he confronts him he chooses to hide stating: "He's here Zach, let's hide if we don't want any trouble." Don't want any trouble? What's the point of him investigating that case then?

There's definitely a strong George Woodman/ Arthur Dimmesdale correlation. A moral shepherd type with (probable in the case of George) deep inner turmoil. And, uh, self-flagellation scars. That one's a given.

Will someone please explain what the hell happened with the Shower curtain shreds wrapping around her neck and instantly killing her upon cutting of the wire?
 
Was that supposed to be supernatural or something? What happened? Fishing line?

This episode wasn't even fun to watch. I hate to say it but I think I'm starting to lean towards the BR runs. If I wanted to hear someone scoff loudly during cutscenes and complain about the most trivial things for half an hour I'd just play video games with my dad. "This game is preposterous, son! The door shut by itself!"

The 'other guy' just attempted to murder her, but she obviously was still alive (ask the witnesses in the room).

Gotta say that scene pissed me a little off both here and on the BR-run, why the fuck didn't they just cut her down while she was choking as Jeff said... And George cut the wires like 15+ sec after York and Becky screamed don't!
 
Put than again can't really expect logic from this game...

She probably broke her neck. I think that's what the bone cracking noise and blood was supposed to indicate.

Well he couldn't have known and he tried to save her. So I don't think that he actually is liable for killing her, no matter how f-ing stupid he acted.  
 
At most he could get suspended or something like that. But seeing, as no one in the game really seems to bother, it won't happen anyway.
 
And saying that the "other guy" just tried to murder her is also stupid. It's just the same discussion some people had over Jigsaw in the Saw movies. "He didn't kill them, he just brought them in a rather awful position, but they were still alive and could have "easily" saved themselves just by cutting of one or two of their limbs or crawling through a pool of glass shards and barbed wire."

Her neck snapped. Cutting her free wouldn't have saved her at that point.
 
I don't get all the confusion surrounding her death. Yeah it's pretty weird how those red strands come out of nowhere, but she died because all of her weight was being supported by the metal strings which all of a sudden came loose and all her weight was then supported by her neck, which snapped under strain, like when people are hung. They don't die from being strangled by the rope (if all goes well, that is).
