Endurance Run: Persona 4 - Part 84

OK, Black Frost is a great Persona that you guys should definitely keep him around for a while. Mind Charge + Fire Amp + Agidyne means that he'll be GREAT for damaging the boss of this dungeon, especially since he's also not weak against anything.

On that note, if you have time, you guys should try maxing out Chie and Yosuke's S-Links before fighting the boss. It can use every type of elemental magic, and if you get them to rank 10 they'll lose their weaknesses so they won't get knocked down and give the enemy extra turns.

Since Fox only charges those in the party that need their SP replenished, you can switch Kanji and Teddie in for Chie and Yosuke, bringing the cost down because now only Charlie and Yukiko needs healing.

Alternatively, you can use items and/or minimize Charlie's use of SP by letting Invigorate heal him slowly while relying on your party members, the only problem is if you need Garu (let Teddie cover Bufu, Yukiko on Agi and Kanji on Zio).

There's really no need to quit the dungeon just yet.  At least get to the last floor so you can have the choice of fighting the boss immediately or grind a bit the next time you enter.

And I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure you guys don;t have an incubus and you'll want one

Black Frost is awesome.  I used that persona on just about the rest of my first playthrough after I got him, until I got kohryu at near the end of the game.

How is it faster?  It isn't.  And its expensive.  The game gives you all theses characters for a reason.  And yes there is a very practical reason, characters have different relative strengths at different parts of the game.

That Gorgon seems like a pointless fuse to me.  You could have made it with a double fuse (Vinny even spoke its name nonchalantly more than once on seeing it in the double fuse menu, then Jeff sees it in the triple and calls it a Gorgahn and they both forget having seen it many times in the past :P), and it had a much lower magic skill than the high pixie so its mazio and zionga it inherited will be weak in comparison.

Vinny anf Jeff have gotten into the habit of waiting until the last minute to save people.  They also tend to rush the final few floors of the dungeon leaving them underleveled a bit.  Sicne they waited until the very last instance they don't feel like going back in again for a second run when the game encourages it (ie before the next victim).  This measn they don't have the money boost and Diadra's lacking materials to make new stuff.  So they enter the new dungeon underequiped and underleveled.  The fight for a few floors just hanging on and then decide to go back which devlaues the exp they'd gain if they just have done it between victims.

Yeah you don't have Incubus, it's not the kind of persona that slips by unnoticed, you would remember getting it.

I really hope they put in Teddie and Kanji for Chie and Yosuke, then heal SP with Fox and go back in the dungeon.  It would be such a waste to leave now.

The next time it rains is the deadline, guys.

I spotted Yata-garasu. When you can fuse that without blowing something good, get it. It gets a passive spell called Cool Breeze. Cool Breeze helps Charlie's SP majorly, as it restores 8 percent of HP and SP at the end of every fight.

I'm pretty sure from like, 40 on, I made sure to pass Cool Breeze onto my main dudes.

Great ep today.  Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow when Black Frost unlocks and opens a can of whoop-ass on everyone around.

And I thought the battles were boring...

God, I've been waiting for them to get Incubus for the lulz for the past few weeks, but they just keep on ignoring it every single time. When they get the cards and incubus is the only one there, I'll be like "finally!" but then they look away...

I think they'd be best served by simply paying the Fox and jumping back into the dungeon from the beginning.  They have some serious level grinding to do.  They'll make back the money they spend on the Fox by repeating those floors again anyway.  The stupid rare hand monster gives 10,000 yen by itself.  Plus, if they make sure to reset the dungeon by visiting another dungeon, there'll be new treasure chests and therefore more opportunities for the really good gear.

Whipping out Kanji and Teddie just widens the experience gap between your main characters which are already underleveled.

Whats up with all this complaining and teaching them how to play ???

You have become black frost, destroyer of worlds. Black Frost is useful MUCH longer than most personas of its level, so don't dump it for a long, long time.

Tip:Please start using more physical skills. As you're starting to see with Chie's Rampage, they kill things perfectly well, and the hp they eat up costs much less sp to restore than casting magic on everything. Chie and Kanji are BUILT for physical attacking too, so if you want to keep using them much longer you should start focusing on their real strength instead of shoehorning them into caster roles. Chie does suffer a bit of a weird spot around here as her magic's getting outdated(since teddie's replacing her in the ice department) and she doesn't have too many great physical skills yet, but keep at it and you'll end up with one of the deadliest attackers in the game.

Ghoul's cries of anguish made my day.

Edit: Also, for the purposes of entertainment I like seeing alternating A and B teams, it gives people a look at what everyone can do. Plus, Teddie and Kanji are much more awesome than the A team.

You know what would be cool? If there were a section of the site where everyone could check Vinny and Jeff's progress in Persona 4. Like everyone's level, what personas they have, S. Link ranks, etc.. I don't know who would have the time to keep everything up to date, I'm just saying it would be cool.

Actually, I'll go a step further and say that in the future, all games should give you the ability to share your progress online in real-time and compare it with your friends. It would at least help single-player games to be more interactive. "Hey, I saw you went all the way with Chie last night. Nice."

I think an Alraune is some kind of psychoactive plant.

Dude yes on the Black Frost. You guys should totally jump back in the TV and mess some Shadow dudes up. Or jump out and aim for that SL 10 with Chie. Either way, I know you guys'll make it amusing.

Unless the enemies are weak to ice or have crazy physical defense, you guys should have Chie using her  physical skills, she really becomes a powerhouse (even more so when you get her link to 10).  Also you bought new stuff for the B team but haven't changed her shoes in months!  Ew!  Also great job with your fusing recently.

Damn, it's probably too late, but Jeff, Vinny, I'll put this in terms that your love of rap music will make you understand.

Mysterious Fox is ODB.  You're Kelis.

Paying the fox is like buying another day.  You're going to make your money back and then some (two Hands = 18000 yen, which is what he wanted to fully heal your SP) and with Black Frost at the helm, you're going to be seriously blowing people up now. 

Every time you start questioning the amount you have to give to the fox, just remember the following words:

"Hey, Dirty, baby I got your money, don't you worry, I said hey, Baby I got your money..."

Grinding in either P3 or this one seems completely optional, especially in P3 I basically got to the top floor of one level and then messed about with a drunk monk and Mr. Tanaka. Personally I kinda like the fact they are not hardcore grinding for the bosses it gives a sense of tension and honestly makes for a better endurance run in the long run.

Going the mage route on everyone is way too expensive SP wise. Once you get to the dyne part its going to drain you pretty quickly.I'm just a little bit ahead of you guys [september 7th], kinda fun playing first then watching a different approach.

When you're low on sp the death card is a godsend, not only does it replenish all sp but it spawns all the mobs again aswell. This will give you a chance to get more exp per day.Even if it takes all your sp away, pay the sly fox since all mobs are spawned again. Used this method to kill the void boss on my first day so I could spend the rest levelling the social links. Wasting too many days will cripple your links, which in turn cripple your skills....cripple your damage.
Charlie is a mage/dd/healer, yosuke=mage, chie=dd, yuki=healer/mage hybrid. Chie's aweful sp is a good indication :)

All that aside, do you like Jrpg's/anime now? Once you start....you're going to love GUNDAMS ;)
